Treating them the same just leaves people banned for no reason while the game passes them by. Hello, I’ve had a problem with this server for over a year now. About a year ago, some staff members banned a friend of mine from the Rust server for stupid reasons. Those staff members were later removed from the server, but my friend remained banned.
He tried to open multiple tickets to appeal at the time and was ignored. For months, I’ve been trying to speak with a staff member who can actually help resolve this, but every time I explain the situation they always say the same thing: “your friend has to open an appeal.”
But how is he supposed to open an appeal if he’s banned from the Discord?
It feels like I’m talking to a wall at this point. Could any staff member please help with this situation?

He was banned about a year ago because of a misunderstanding. We were playing as a trio, and the third guy in our team was cheating without us knowing. At the time, he obviously got permanently banned for cheating, but my friend also got permanently banned for association. I don’t think a permanent ban for association in this situation makes sense. Then, when he tried to submit a ban appeal, he ended up getting banned from the Discord as well, which made it impossible for him to appeal properly. That’s why I’m trying to get help now.

Unfortunately his ban is justified! Whatever he said in the ban appeal clearly was against tos. I’m sorry if this information is displeasing but rules are rules. You could make a ticket for him but I wouldn’t recommend it.

What he said in the tickets may indeed have gone against the rules, that may be true, because at the time he felt the game ban was unfair. He was not the one cheating, the other guy was, and we were able to prove that. We even offered ourselves for a PC check or any other verification necessary — we just wanted the chance to play on this server again.
It’s been over a year now, so giving him an unban really wouldn’t cause any issue at this point. Don’t you find it strange that this server has around 125,000 bans? Be honest

Cheating/going against tos is strictly forbidden on BESTRUST SERVERS! The reason we have so many bans is believe it or not, because many people don’t read the rules of the server in game and in discord. These rules are in place as a stepping stone for our community! This is the reason our servers are so popular people can come and play under our tos and not have to worry about a cheater/racist/etc…

I just want to explain that my friend was not the one cheating, and we genuinely didn’t know the third player was using cheats at the time. It has been over a year, and we would really like a second chance to play on the server properly. We are willing to accept any conditions you think are fair, such as a PC check, probation period...
I only play Rust with him, and we really enjoyed this server. I’m not asking you to ignore the rules, just to reconsider the punishment after all this time and give him one final chance. If he breaks any rule again, then I understand a permanent ban would be fair.

how can people come and play and not worry about a cheater? on bestrust servers i reported 3 players and those 3 reports i made them in one single week, each player that i reported after a few days i got notification from the game that the player i reported was banned. Normally ban evasion means that you got banned on an account and then tried to play rust again on a different account, once the anticheat realises that for example it’s the same IP, you just get banned on that account as well.

I was told an admin will look at my case no response for 2 days then the ticket closed itself no response

My unban was supposed to be once my ban reached 5months, the gameban has reached a year and still nothing since then even with the help of a trial admin. Is there anyone who can actually help?

Please Please do not open another ticket - 0 ticket opens means Admin have not picked the ticket up it does not mean it is closed - You will receive a message stating your ticket is closed - Your ticket is still open

You need to have a twig connection between ur main base and external one to be able to destroy it and separate the TCs

We have 200k+ people in this discord. If you go to just the english category and look up the main channels and read how many people have opened a ticket, you can clearly understand or atleast get the gist of how many tickets are being opened daily.

Now as I and the team here have stated multiple times, there's only a small amount of ban appeals staff members that work on the server. Minus this being voluntary / them having work/kids/real life.

Now lets put that into perspective. If we have approximately 3-4 ban appeals members (and do note, this is an estimate, not the real amount, it might be lower). How many tickets do you think they can handle in a single day?

But that’s exactly the problem though. If you have 200k+ members, “we only have 3-4 appeal staff” isn’t really an excuse, it just shows the Server is understaffed.
There are plenty of other big Rust servers with the same amount of players that handle tickets way faster. So it’s clearly possible if the server is managed properly.
I understand people have jobs and real life, but players still shouldn’t have to wait 70 days for a ban appeal. That’s almost an entire wipe gone.
Not everyone gets banned for cheating either. Some people get banned for small things or false flags and still wait months. I literally got banned because my account looked “sus” even though I can explain everything.

If you know thousands of tickets are coming in, then hire more appeal staff or improve the system. Saying “be patient” over and over again doesn’t fix the issue.

But that’s still not really an excuse tbh. The server didn’t suddenly jump from 100 people to 200k overnight. You had enough time to see the community growing and expand the appeal team over time as well.
Of course appeal staff should be trustworthy, nobody disagrees with that. But if the server keeps growing bigger and bigger, then the team handling appeals also needs to grow with it.
You can’t run a massive Rust server with 200k+ members and only have like 3-4 people handling one of the most important parts of the server.

I never said I disagreed.. We know we are understaffed for it, only people who have that role can look at appeals. That's why we always say the same thing. It frustrates us too because we know 100% damn well that you guys are gonna hate our answer, but we don't run the server or make the rules.
