I wish there was a planet between Mars/Europa and Vulcan in difficulty

I want a planet where I need to manage atmosphere production and temperature management in the base but not as extreme as Vulcan.

My ideal right now would be something like this:

• Non-breathable but not explosive atmosphere - i.d. maybe something like 25-40% CO2, 25-40% N2 and the rest Pollutant.
• Day temp getting up to something like 60C to 80C
• Night temp dropping to something like -60C to -80C
• Don't mind dust storms
• Don't mind solar storms
• Solar efficiency similar to Europa
• Wind efficiency similar to Mars
• Coal, Ore & Ice all available - resource density somewhere between Europa and Vulcan

The idea is that I want to:

1. Have a need to manage the temperature in my base.
2. Have a need to set up larger-scale hydroponics for long-term O2 production.
3. Have a need to eventually explore alternate forms of power since solar/wind are less useful but not complete crap

Bases don't heat up or cool down through walls/frames currently. Windows will heat a room if they're facing the sun, but that's about it. You can only lose heat if you use uninsulated pipes/vents

Plants and electric devices heat rooms up too

this would be my ideal planet to take advantage of phase change to its fullest and to prevent nothing but solar panel spam!

I think it would be interesting to have a N2+Polluted Steam atmosphere, with no ice.

So, with a lot of work, you could get water without ice crushing, and then from water, electrolyzed fuel.

especially if the polluted steam only came with high temp storms that you had to setup a capture system

something with a wide temperature swing day to night? not as crushingly hot as Vulcan, but still harsher than Mars

I don't really need a Vulcan-lite, but I do think storms are not as dramatic as they could be. It typically boils down to just a wind power boon.

but I want to have to think a bit more than Europa

Mars I've got pretty much figured out

So,like, if storms on Europa were so low temp and high pressure that any windows would bleed heat like crazy, for example
