Always found it weird that a cryogenic liquid was needed to heal wounds. And that the device used for healing was called "cryopod" as if it is meant for cryosleep. When we already have the sleepers for that purpose. It gives a weird confusion in terms of the way assets are organized in the game. And the main purpose. And the N2O not being used for medical uses also feels like a weird unbalanced use of ingame resources. Especially since cryogenic liquids are already used for rocketry.
The liquid Nitrogen requirement also means powering it can be really tedious depending on where you are. And the requirement of a large setup of machines to make this liquid N2.
I feel a much more fitting way of setting it up. To also make it a distinct seperate thing from the sleeper,
Would be to have it require N2O instead as a gas. As liquid nitrogen is rarely used in medical sense. But N2O and anesthetics is used pretty much for a wide range of medical purposes in terms of healing a body to let surgieres and other similar processes happen without inducing pain. Freezing a body with liquid nitrogen to heal damaged lungs makes zero sense and is rather weird.
Cryogenics as a mechanic much rather fit rocketry as it already does.
N2O already has medical properties in terms of knocking people out. Having the pod require that makes much more sense in this regard. And gives N2O an actual ingame use besides as a fuel, balancing the usecases of stuff in the game much better.
Renaming the pod to "medical pod" or make the cryopod a seperate thing entirely would also be preferable in this sense. A device meant for healing should not be easily confused with the sleeper pod. As it is now it might be that way with current naming conventions and the liquid nitrogen requirement. It just makes the cryopod feel like a sleeper intended for longer sleep rather than a healing device.
