Add an internal light to lockers and shelves so they arn't a black hole.. (see exhibit A...)

Ideally non-powered, non-casting type light, just so the contents is visible. Adding cable and light shadows to me is overkill, just an internal glow is fine.

A copy of the grow lights without the light model would probably be perfect providing a soft shadowless glow.

Until RW comes up with better ambient light regulation (Would it be possible to amp up the ambient light in areas that are generally lit more?), ...

... great idea. Except personally, I have most of my lockers open to see what's what - only late game, I would have a closed cable or chip etc. locker because it has only type of item, so I don't need to see it.

Btw., if a locker is closed, its items are not rendered, which saves time. But if the locker is open, and if we now also get additional light in there (Which is a great idea in principle.), that will be leaning on the rendering harder.
