I'd like to suggest the exp loss on death be tweaked for mining/woodcutting. As it stands you either PVP or GATHER. If you try to do both, even as a phenomenal pvp'er, you'll quickly get demoted to level 1 just from a few unavoidable deaths.
In which case it may as well not be on server.

@flat wedge I like your idea, however with the population cap of Zeus Small it allows us to keep no decay and no purge on the map. We do this so it allows players to return no matter how long they have been offline for in the weekly wipe. Zeus Small is there for the more casual player, so we don't want to destroy bases of players on this server until it gets sufficient pop to reach 200k+ ents and lags the server, not just the client.
I will play around with the server convars however to make rendering the entity streams a lot less stuttery for the client.

@willow sedge Suggestion: Add a 50 dollar or more permanent vip. Have it come with a pvp kit I.E. (One set of gear and ak). My reasoning personally: Right now I really want to donate, I play a lot here and I know the extra stuff would be nice. BUT as of now the 30$ kit doesn't really appeal to me being that, the resources aren't the big thing for me. Zeus is a 5x so a resource kit just isn't worth much to me. Especially a 30 day resource kit. The extra homes, cooldowns on the tp's and /skin and que skip are the 4 main things I see that I would benefit from. But I get most of those in just the 4.99 kit (Not as many I'm aware) but still get those perks in some form. So I would just like to see a higher prices perm kit with all of those things maybe add 1-2 more things that you might think of. I understand the want to get people coming back and supporting the server regularly but for someone like me just a higher priced kit that I keep forever would entice me to want to donate more and would make the extra money I paid for it well worth it. Just a thought though <3.

Rusty uber has had perm kits since I can remember and have just as many if not more server to pay for. I honestly believe if perm ranks were introduced you would see a lot more higher donators and a lot more often. Honestly though 30 day ones wouldn't be too bad, but what they offer right now really isn't worth the investment

The reasons like others have mentioned is because we need the reliable and recursive income from our players. Our aim here isn’t to make a quick buck, which is the reason why permanent ranks exist on some servers. We are here to stay and we can continue to be the best 5x modded server with our monthly kits.

Having a permanent rank doesn’t allow us to easily change the contents and perk of the rank for balancing issues. This is something we can do easily with our monthly kits by phasing the old donators out. With a permanent rank we are liable to a chargeback if we change the contents. Which also in the longrun results in us 1) loosing the kit money and 2) loosing fee money on top of that.

That is IF I actually consider doing it. If I did do it, there’d only be a limit of 3 purchases of that particular kit per server.

@ryan dont know if this is where i should write this or on the x2 vanilla channel anyway About making x2 server to hapis i would say (at the moment) is a really bad choice... as you wrote the map will be bigger and the pop is usually not over 100 after the first/second day which means the server will feel really empty.
At the moment i really enjoy the small map mainly because everyone usually build close to dome/launchsite so please atleast wait a little longer til you make it a hapis map til the population off the server has grew a little. 😃

@willow sedge In terms of donator kits, although i've heard you're trying to distance from PvP Kits. Perhaps smaller packages could come with seperate pvp gearsets. Etc £10 a month will spawn you with a tommy and roadsign and a few meds and ammo (Usable Twice per wipe or something) and £15 for AK and Roadsign with some meds. Similar to as they were before

I think the pure vanilla 2x is a great server and could go really far. I dont play on blueberry simply because of the P2W factor. I think a furnace splitter should be added into the plugins on the server. It doesnt ruin the vanilla experience and just makes it abit easier to sort out the ore. (Imo i would like the furnace splitter to be introduced all over rust, not only on modded). I also think the pop should decrease abit. Last night the server was full and the action was amazing but it was abit to much chaos. I dont think the map should increase sence I think the map size is rly nice. My last suggestion is to add a group limit. I think it should be 5 or maybe 6. However I havnt seen a group bigger than 4 yet and thats great but I fear that a zerg could come to the server and wipe the servers population in 1 day just because theres no chance for the duos and trios around the team. I think the 4x stacking in tc is great! Nicer server, rly enjoy playing on it. Hope to see some great changes and good avarge pop!

Add some kind of raid block which prevents building during raiding - it is infuriating when people just build themselves into an armoured triangle of walls during a raid with all the loot on them, especially considering how cheap high quality walls are now. PLEASE, those without even having VIP can use "/bgrade 2" during a raid and instantly replace walls which are destroyed by C4 or rockets. With VIP, "bgrade 4" can be used to instantly place an armoured wall, requiring an extra 16 rockets or 8 C4 with absolutely no method of prevention

Make combat blocking timer visual, as seen in servers such as blueberry, where a display can be seen on the left in red which counts down, as currently there's no way of telling how long you're combat blocked for to tell allies unless you directly try to TP yourself.

POTENTIALLY make it against the rules to hide loot in the honeycombing - since decay isn't switched on for Rustoria Small, I can easily make a 5x5 base with over 20 triangle honeycombs on the outside and put the loot in any one of those 20, making it almost impossible to find - if decay were switched on, raiding would be much more viable, both online and offline, but if that's not an option, I believe it should be against the rules to hide loot in honeycombs.

Perhaps increase the gather rate to 5x as in Zeus, but please don't increase the group limit - this server allows for smaller groups to play without being steamrolled by massive groups - max 3 is one of my favourite aspects of Rustoria Small.

Map size 3.5k, max players 200 would be a nice competitve mapsize and player density to keep PvP constant whilst allowing for fun raids / counterraids, especially if there are changes made to raid blocking etc.
Some of these suggestions are inspired by other servers where I've seen them - these servers are more successful than Rustoria Small currently, and I think these may be contributing reasons.
