And before I was even in the server I was banned. If I recall correctly I was using a VPN and I don't know if that's against the rules.

Hey, I just got banned. My steam ID is 76561198164008185. I tried logging on to the rust server and was instantly banned for ban evasion. However, I was never banned. The ip's used by VPN's aren't registered to anyone and there are thousands of ip's... the chance of getting the same ip as somone else is 1 in a million
