Tomorrow is a force wipe, on force wipes we wipe all of the following if applicable.
- Shop points
- Maps
- Blueprints
This means all our servers will be FULLY wiping tomorrow. They will be wiping whenever the update is released. This tends to be between 6PM UK / 1PM EST - 8PM / 3PM EST.
When the update is released we will promptly be restarting the servers and updating them.
There is lot of content due to be in tomorrows update but we're unsure of what exactly will make it in at the moment. However I believe the optimisations for the client will be in the update tomorrow. This will reduce the FPS lag a lot of you complain to us about, greatly.

- I may consider a re-wipe for our EU servers later on tomorrow. I will create polls. I may also reconsider a re-wipe for US too. Again this will be up to you players.
- Saves are 3x more frequent on the servers. This is to not have as big of rollbacks.
- Loot is not up to standards currently, I will fix tomorrow (im tired after tonight)
- There are some changes and optimisations that will be made tomorrow also.
- There are some features I want to add regarding the new items later on tomorrow too.

It's been a while since there's been a substantial update to the Rustoria servers.
Tomorrow we'll be releasing a one of a kind Trade system on our servers. Not only this, we'll be applying many optimisations onto the servers that we've been working on the past few weeks. These optimisations should make the server lag near minimal.
Because of the huge optimisations we're pushing live onto the servers, we're going to be testing the Rust AI system on our servers. The date of this test will be announced later.
We of course have many other things in the works. Our backend has received huge updates lately to make mine and my admins lives easier. It's time to start working on the players experience again :)

If you are a player of my US hosted servers and are mad at the issues they are facing, please read this and forgive us for these issues.
All our US hosted servers are experiencing intermittent network related issues due to our network provider. The network provider is one of the best in the US for gameservers despite these issues. That is why we're awaiting on them to identify their issues and improve their systems. The issues are caused by other clients in the same datacenter as us getting attacked or ddos'd. Sometimes, we are the targets of these attacks which results in null routes (large portion of the network traffic being directed into a void) this is a stop gap measure to stop other clients in the datacenter from being affected. These lag spikes are likely other clients getting attacked just before they are null routed. When we get attacked, other people in the same datacenter experience this. Obviously, these issues are not acceptable for us as a high standard server people recognise us as. That is why we have risk assessed every other possibility of switching network providers. The results of these risk assessments have shown us that sticking with this network provider is likely in our best interests.
Benefits of this provider
- Insane ping for all players
- Perfect location (central US)
- Amazing hardware
- Fair prices
Downsides of this provider
- Attack mitigation being shit
- Time it takes for them to intervene and upgrade their systems
If we were to switch we'd loose these benefits:
- Insane ping for all players
- Perfect location (central US)
Which in the end would result in a population decrease as the server will take a long amount of time to show in the server browser. Not to mention all of the west coast players who could see upwards of 70ms ping. Resulting in a slow but sure population decrease. As you likely know how Rust servers work, once they loose an initial portion of population, other players tend to look elsewhere as it's not as popular as it once was.
So if we don't want to kill our US servers completely, we're sticking out with this network provider and helping them work out their issues. However, if the issues persist and no upgrades/fixes are being made then we'll just bite the bullet and accept the loss of the above mentioned benefits.
I am deeply sorry for any inconvenience caused. But please remember that all parties involved behind the scenes are taking things much more seriously than you think. This is in the end a legal matter, the network provider is in talks with huge corporations in the likes of Amazon, Digital Ocean & Microsoft.
A lot of popular modded communities use this same network provider for their servers for the very same reasoning. So this goes for those servers, too.

To clarify these crashes are not due to us, rather a physics issue with Unity. Rust devs are proactively trying to reproduce it so they can patch it. They've upgraded to Unity v2019.1 on a seperate branch to no avail so we'll likely have this issue for a while.
This is affecting all servers. Officials, vanillas, other moddeds. EVERYONE. Blame Unity not us poor server owners!

We have been play-testing it several times as some of you know to get this server as bug free as possible. We have ironed out the major bugs and issues and improved the QoL significantly during this period. This does not mean there’s no room for improvement, the server will see regular updates, QoL improvements and balancing changes as time progresses.
We are delighted to revive this amazing game mode. However, we aren’t Rustoria if we don’t implement a twist or change of some kind. Introducing multiple team Embankment - Enjoy Embankment as you know it with up to 4 teams (more to come later on!).
We also have custom tailored maps especially made for this game mode and the amount of teams a particular lobby has.
For those who do not know what Embankment is, please read this short description

Some features you may recognise:
- /share <name> or /share all (will allow you to share your objects with other players)
- Explosive damage towards players is scaled down aka nerfed (no rocket pvp)
- Bases can be raided by normal bullets
- Old styled rocks (stone nodes give metal, sulfur gives stone/metal)
- High tiered loot located in the centre of the map, including regular airdrops and loot refreshes
For now, we’ll only be releasing Embankment starting in the EU, then US, then AU/NZ.

There's a datacenter technician on the case for Zeus & Trio 5x EU. Unfortunately this could take up to 2 hours. Hopefully it will be quicker than that.

The issue is affecting the whole rack in our datacenter, the technicians are still trying to fix the issue. They did fix it but the issue re-occured and they're trying to find a permanent fix. There is no estimation whatsoever for when the issue will be resolved.

Please be aware, an intervention for our dedicated server hosting Zeus & Trio 5x EU is scheduled for 1st August (in 2 days) at approximately 5am UK time, 6am CEST. That is in 60ish hours from now. The server will be down for 1 hour.
This is some scheduled work for the power supply of the machine, if you remember we had some power issues about a week ago. This work is to permanently fix them.

Tomorrow is a force wipe, on force wipes we wipe all of the following if applicable.
- Shop points
- Maps
- Blueprints
This means all our servers will be FULLY wiping tomorrow. They will be wiping whenever the update is released. This tends to be between 6PM UK / 1PM EST - 8PM UK / 3PM EST.
When the update is released we will promptly be restarting the servers and updating them.
Be sure to keep an eye on the Facepunch website for an official blog post tomorrow.
I will make another announcement tomorrow tagging everyone once the servers are fully wiped, updated and online. See you then!

Force wipe is today, on force wipes we wipe all of the following if applicable.

- Blueprints
This means all servers will be FULLY wiping today when the update hits. Can be anywhere between now and in 4 hours.
After a lot of consideration, we have decided to bypass the force wipe for Trio 5x US ONLY. It will be FULLY wiping on Saturday.
The rest of the servers will be FULLY wiping. Comprende???
