I'm trying to understand how to make a profitable farm and looking for advice. Should I farm different crops? Also what does a good farm layout look like? I here making auto cactus farms is thing but I dont know anyone so I dont know how valid and worth it is.

It’s profitable if you have a high farm fortune on your harvester. I’m not too experienced in farming but I believe without farm fortune farming isn’t that good.
For farm layout, there are a lot of good ones on YouTube (literally just search skyblock potato farm)
Cactus is rlly good early game (as in when the server just reset) but u rlly gotta have to build a big big one. If you’re just starting now maybe consider not building it.
I’m not experienced in farming at all, so let’s hope some experienced farmer can give u a better response 🙂

Potatoes are the best crop followed by Carrots the rest aint really worth it unless you need the Masteries like crop duster 6
Cactus is good if you got atleast 5 chunks to skylimit easy passive income just make sure you get your autochest sell price up in /is upgrades
I recommend just farming potatoes though
