#Are bee nests/hives obtainable on OneBlock?

This doesn't seem to have been asked before.... is it possible to spawn in bee nests using the vanilla mechanic of planting saplings next to flowers? The wiki claims this works for oak, birch and cherry trees in any biome any any dimension, and I often use this in normal survival to get bee nests. I have grown soooooo many trees next to flowers on my island and never gotten a single nest.

Alternately, should these items arrive in a particular phase? In the Plenty phase I got so many bees I stopped keeping them after not long. Throughout the phase I got honeycomb blocks, honey blocks, honey bottles, and I thought for sure this would be when I'd get some nests, hives or even just some honeycomb items to make hives but no, I passed thru the whole Plenty phase, now I have a ton of bees and no way to farm the honeycomb.

Good question!

Let me look into it.

The vanilla behavior does work, but you have to plant a lot of trees and be in the right biome. However, I am improving the Plenty phase to have actual beehives with bees in them.

thanks. I'm just a player on the server I'm playing on, so unfortunately can't test anything.

On this though:

you have to plant a lot of trees and be in the right biome

2 things...... I have played many a survival game that got me bee nests within an hour or so of play time, I have planted an insane amount of oak trees on oneblock, I definitely should've had at least 10 nests by now based on my vanilla experience. Also the wiki says that nests can spawn with the growth of oak, birch and cherry in any dimension or biome, so your comment about being in the right biome makes no sense to me, as there is no biome preference in vanilla.
