#Confused about vehicle ownership in multiplayer

Pretty new to this game and just picked it up a couple days ago.

Playing with a friend and we found an RV and we ran into a couple things that are confusing us. How does the ownership stuff work in multiplayer?

  • Ownership seems to change and only one of us can close the door to the RV.
  • We had attached a bunch of sheet metal to the RV and then it all suddenly fell off which we think occurred when I took over ownership trying to close the door.
  • Curious if there a team setting or a way for us to join a team in the game so we can share ownership of things?
