Art schools are great for learning about how to work as an artist, they won’t help you improve at Art all that much (depends on the school actually, I just have this knowledge from a friend)

Basically

Pros: you learn how to make friends and connections, you learn how to be disciplined because of assignments with dates and you have the possibility of getting a job afterwards fairly quickly

Cons: they’re stupidly expensive, especially in the United States, you can have debts for years (decades in some cases), and they don’t learn you all that much art itself

Conclusion

You can go to art school, if you have the money for it and want to learn how to become a working artist

It’s not necessary

It probably would be very different, but since a college is a lot cheaper (also depends on the college) you can do that
