Two of the Violet Evergarden Blu-Rays that I ordered has been delivered to my HQ today. Violet Evergarden: The Complete Series covering the 13 Violet Evergarden episodes + the Violet Evergarden Special OVA, and Violet Evergarden the Movie, which I have surprisingly not watched yet. I'll have to wait another 3 weeks for Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll, which I actually did watch. The reason for ordering these Blu-Rays in the first place is because I don't trust Netflix to keep the anime on Netflix long-term. If god forbid, Netflix is dumb enough to remove Violet Evergarden from the streaming service, at least I have the Blu-Ray discs that I now own for myself.

Tonight I rewatched Violet Evergarden Episode 10. Yes, I cried twice.

1. ||When Ann admitted to her mother that she already knew that her mother is dying. All Amn wants is to spend time with her mother before her passing.||

2. ||At the very end of the episode, Violet said to her work colleagues that Ann will receive letters from her mother for the next FIFTY years. When Iris says that Ann will be looking forward to the letter from her mother every year, Violet breaks down in tears HARD over the fact that by the time these reach Ann her mother will have passed away. Ann is very young (she is 7 years old), she gets very lonely, and she is going to become an orphan living alone in the mansion. (Ann said to Violet that her father died a hero during the war that took place before the series implying that her father was a soldier who was killed in action during the war.) But what makes me cry during the scene was when Violet admits to her work colleagues that she had to hold back tears THE ENTIRE TIME she was at the mansion. I noticed that the Blu-Ray version removed the music that the Netflix scene kept in (In the Japanese version only; the English version kept the music). I actually like that scene better without the music.||
