I’m not sure if anyone’s talked about this or said something about it, but I have a feeling that Intentions is maybe about Torchbearer having to find a new Clancy; restarting the cycle. Mostly because of the lyrics, “I am starting it all over once again, did I learn a thing?” and “You will fail most every day and ever way.”
“I am starting it all over once again, did I learn a thing?” Torchbearer has to restart the cycle all over again hoping to find someone who’ll finally beat the Bishops. Asking himself if he’s learnt anything to make sure he succeeds. He’s learning from his mistakes.
“You will fail most every day and every way.” Maybe it’s him telling himself that he won’t be able to find a new successful Clancy anymore. How everytime he tries he’ll fail and make Clancy fall to Dema instead of helping it no matter what Torchbearer tries or does.
I start theorizing this a week after Breach released. I’ve found it to be a good theory in my opinion.
