All of the previous nine Bishops - representing things like doubt, anxiety, depression, etc- were major constants in the mental struggles that Tyler's faced throughout his life. The entirety of the city of Dema is built around this nine-fear symmetry, eith a 3x3 grid in the center and everything spiraling from there.
RAWFEAR, at least to me, is about Tyler's newest fear since becoming a father: the fear of time, the inevitability that the days will keep on ticking and that it only gets faster (the "sounds of empty uzis" being the ticking of a clock).
"You've met my fears, they're all regulars. Wait, who's the new kid?"
All of the other bishops have been around fir a while and are here to stay. Clancy specifically represents the fear of the future, and officially breaks the symmetry of the cycle.
I wonder how Dema would be restructured...?
#Every previous cycle had nine bishops. This is Tyler's first cycle with a new "major"/prominent fear

the Nove bishop boxset card mentions Vulturism i think. He's definitely ushering in a new religion onto the city and i think all the lyrics of Tyler realizing life is about the endurance of the pain not overcoming it (bc there's always something else)could lead to prolonged suffering but not necessarily death becomes the way to salvation in Dema
I’ve thought about that line also. Wondering who the “new kid” was.
