#Did we witness 3 cycles? Or 2 and 1 unfinished?

Alright yall. Stay with me. It’s a lot lol.

So I did a deep drive though all the music videos and all the Clancy letters. And I came up with the theory that Tyler’s black paint is an indication of failed.

This would mean
Clancy No Paint (NPC):
-Jumpsuit
-NATN
-Levitate
-Shy Away
-Saturday
-The Outside
-Navigating
-Paladin Strait

Clancy Paint (PC):
-HDS
-Jumpsuit
-Overcompensate
-Navigating
-Paladin Strait
-The Contract
-City Walls

Now if this is truly a repetition of a cycle, that means they are retracing steps taken before to get closer to salvation right? Repeat practices. So NPC would have been the first cycle. PC would have been the second cycle after failure with theorizing the paint is growing higher the more Clancy fails. This also referencing to the rising paint on Clancy’s face during City Walls. But where is the 3rd cycle?

Our 3rd cycle is Clancy from Keons district, the Clancy from the dmaorg letters. We all assumed him to be a victim to Vialism but we have yet to have any indication if that is true or not. Why would Keons let him be a victim to Vialism if he would eventually try to save the Clancy on the submarine to aid his escape? Scaled and Icy had to have been written by this Clancy as he still references that Keons is HIS bishop. Meaning that when he made the name for SAI, he was still alive. We know he’s not NPC because he’s the one who witnessed the “rider in the water.” And we know he’s not PC because through out the letters, he’d never been smeared because Nico was not his Bishop. He never references the car escape in HDS in his letters, but the I Am Clancy video does. We read all the way up to the battle the night before Paladin Strait takes place. This Clancy was hopeful for salvation with his bandito brothers and sisters, why would we see a different tone in the MVs and the FPE letters? Because it’s a different cycle.

Keons Clancy is the one leaving us the Drag Path, and has been all along.

Can we find him?

My theory about the clancy from the dmaorg letters is that he is dead and it’s confirmed in vignette

The way I visioned the song was Tyclancy talking about the previous clancy “It's a tribute to zombies of which I've become” and “He's thinking, "There's no way I'm headed there"
Always sure-footed, educated, and was never scared Now he can't hold out his hand without it shaking Hounded by a bunch of dead when the search party found him Fresh off a binger in the woods, flesh covered in bites” it definitely feels like talking about the previous clancy’s death
“clinging to promises” , “no not me its for a friend”
again just my theory

Thats still a pretty good theory! I think the only thing that makes me feel differently about your theory is I believe this is Tyler talking about his own cycle in vignette. I think he talks about the previous verison of himself being so sure of himself and after losing time and time again, he’s losing himself to the vignette (aka the black paint on his neck growing higher). Sort of using the same like you used “no not me its for a friend” i think he ends that with “denial” because he knows he’s talking about himself and doesn’t want to admit thats the path he is headed on. But it’s still a good theory to speculate on ☺️

and now that I see it "clinging to promises" sounds awfully familiar to another song that references promises breach

so vignette sort of foreshadows the contract

I think most of it is his own cycle but "it's a tribute to zombies of which I've become" is definitely about the previous Clancys

When I think about my theory above, you’re right, there are previous Clancy’s. But I believe that Tyler is those previous Clancy’s he refers to and repeats the same steps to try to win and gets a little further every time. So NPC is Tyler’s first attempt that we see that wakes up in Trench. When he was sure about himself and his escape. When he loses, the paint grows on his neck and hands and that’s when he wakes up in the car for HDS becoming PC Tyler. Then he loses and the paint grows higher on his face in City Walls. Just growing more and more insecure of himself from losing so many times. So he’s referring to himself but as the Clancy’s he has been before becoming this one.
