I think Tyler uses inversions to tell stories. My strongest argument confirming this mechanism is the ending of the Album Breach. It is Truce backwards and the other undeniable reversed song is the Nico and the Niners Music video. I think the full story can only be understood if you include the correct music videos in reverse as a part of the timeline. Paladin Strait Reversed looks like Clancy's escape to the Paladin Strait, where it would be assumed he crosses and escapes. That means what Torchbearer says at the end of City Walls is true, "that's not Clancy up there anymore."
