#How does Clancy becoming a Bishop fit in the Mental representation?

At this point, I'm very sure that we all agree that Clancy's becoming a Bishop, but how does it represent mentality there? For me, I think since Dema is sort of a representation of a place where a traumatic event happened that included someone, it might be a way of "The Abused becomes the Abuser". Which for the most part, that's unlikely. But there were times when it happened, Clancy is becoming corrupted with the power which leads him to continuing the cycle again. Anyways, Sal out.

I think it’s something along the lines of “he used creativity (which is like seizing, cause they’re from Ned’s horns and Ned’s a metaphor for creativity) to fight back against the glorification of suicide but in gaining a platform and power from his creativity he’s now at risk of glorifying suicide himself? Or something like that?

Never thought of it in detail, but it seems like it. And in Shy Away the line "just break the cycle in half" tells us what he originally planned to do, to break the generational trauma the citizens like him are experiencing. But, he fails as we read in the letter. And my mom once told me a wise lesson she knows

Even with the tiniest bit of power, everyone can be influenced by it.

i think it symbolizes giving up on fighting and fully embodying all the suicidal pessimistic world views etc, truly becoming one with your demons (not the same as letting them torment you which would make you a citizen of dema not a bishop)
