#what is my voice type based on me speaking?

Voice type cannot just be determined on that
You can’t really tell what someone’s voice type is by speaking, since your voice type also depends on your vocal range and how comfortable you are with those notes.
If I were to just calculate my voice type based on my own speaking voice, I’d be a mezzo-soprano, but with the notes I’m comfortable with, I’m an alto.
How in the world are you a mezzo soprano based on your speaking voice
You can learn to sing like the voice type you desire to be (for contemporary). It's really about "I use this technique and therefore sound this way". So if I adapt my technique, I can sound like an alto, mezzo or soprano. And if you can cover the low notes of bass/baritone, then nothing (except time and practice) is stopping you from singing like any of the higher voice types (even female ones). Voice types are for opera and theatre. And even in theatre, I've met a professional, who covered all three roles - bass, baritone and tenor - he was just preparing differently the day prior, depending on the role. And in Opera, a lot of singers switch voice types. Some start in baritone, then move to tenor.
The true way to know your voice type would be to test your voice on very specific pitches (respectively for each voice type), without changing or adapting your technique to sound stronger or softer, and listen to which notes sound the loudest - those frequencies would be the ones boosted by the shape of your skull and that would be your voice type for classical/opera (without microphone), since you need every last bit of power/volume you can get in the most easy way. Even in opera, you can learn to sing other voice types, yet you will have a slightly harder time projecting, due to your skull shape boosting other frequencies, compared to someone who sings in the frequencies their skull boosts the most.
Hope this helps
It’s just somewhat higher pitched but my voice range is lower and I’m more comfortable in the alto range
My choir did a singing test and decided to throw me in with the altos soooo here I am :DDD
WOAH rlly long explanation
Thanks dude :DDDD
Do you speak in falsetto?
I don’t 😭😭😭 that would be incredibly hard to achieve and such a pain 😭😭
you're definitely not a mezzo then
absolute lowest my voice goes is C2 and i just dont know how to go higher than D4. the whole reason i was asking about my voice type is because i was wondering if i maybe have too low voice so thats why i cant sing high.
You can sing. And you can go higher as well you just have to discover your falseto
wdym discover? everyone has falsetto.
also my falsetto goes to C5 at most
Some people just don't know how to enter their falseto I thought you would be one of them
