Looking to do some duo songs? Well, so am I..!
Whenever I get the urge, I'll be posting duets (one-sided) for anybody to either join or send a recording of their own.

This is the first one, and it's Die with a Smile by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. The format for these posts is as follows:

I send two recordings (labeled Part A and Part B) and you're free to pick whichever to add your own vocals to! You don't have to be skilled or professional, it's just for fun (besides, I'm not very good myself!). I will leave a long, silent gap for your voice to go and the background music is included.

Are you ready? cat_happy

WARNING: TURN THE VOLUME DOWN. Oh my god I didn't realize how loud it sounds outside of Audacity. Also you can tell I don't know Lady Gaga's part too well... No comment fr.

(Side Note: I'M SO SORRY IT LIKE GETS SO LOUD AT SOME PARTS. I DON'T KNOW HOW TO DO A DUET WITH MYSELF BUT IM SHARED THE A+B BECAUSE IT'S "INTERESTING".) I will learn...eventually. No laughing cuz how the hell do I harmonize with myself

Gonna go cleanse my soul by singing something I know won't sound good if I try (I'm so sorry Vic Fuentes, ilysm)

Also the reason why it sounds so loud in some places is because it’s clipping on audience. Aka the audio being louder than the maximum loudness audacity could handle, unless it’s already clipping when it’s going into your microphone of course. If you just turn down the volume of everything in audacity that should get rid of that distortion noise. Compression also helps making the vocal be the same loudness regardless of how loud you sung it!
