This is imperfect, but I've been training to have the same technique as Yuuri the Japanese Singer for around 5-6 months. If you have any harsh critics Im all ears!

For the problem: I really dont know if this is what you call raspy/gritty technique, but its near- It doen't hurt but I feel tension in my jaw and my whole face when doing high notes, other imperfections please go ahead and tell me

Yo bro
So I think you should try going soft with the high parts, you're kinda pushing too much when what you should do is let airflow and breathing tecniques do the job, it would be easier :3

But your progress is great, you're developing a good voice for harsh vocals and maybe fry screams if you're into metal
Talking about metal, that's why some metal singers can do those demonic vocals, I'm 14 and I'm already doing them!

Thanks for the tip buddy, I was into metal and death metal around the age of 12-16, but now my songs are mostly based on Japanese, still I do listen to any song with a good beat!

Me when I do screaming, at times My voice breaks when singing normally, It feels like soft sandpaper but it doesnt hurt

#

I guess thats just like working out huh? Sore muscles

I'm not only used to do them, but I'm also using much more airflow than pushing through my throat

But still looking for that grit you see in this video: https://youtube.com/shorts/Ne1QkW2CjgM?si=Tqx5IzZcjruKzmj0

Will be quite of a long journey to get there- definitely will be committed to do so!
