Hard to hear in the mix

It kinda goes too "along" with the instruments, I think it normally should sound in the centre and the instruments sound more at the sides

gotcha thanks oh well I did the best with the mix I could... basically I paid someone else to make my instrumental sound good and then I added the vocals, next song I'll have him do everything so it'll be more cohesive probably

yeah I guess so that's the problem I don't like natural, I like lots of layers and over cooking fx, but maybe I'm wrong and I'll let him take the helm next time

well I mean I'm wrong if it comes to what other people want I guess cause like everybody tells me the same thing, to peel back the effects and keep it simple and also don't compressor so much, but I like that sound. But I also want more people to listen yknow. And I can't tell if people aren't listening and liking this because of my bad decisions in mixing or they don't like my voice or they just don't listen to rock in general it's frustrating especially since I spent some money on this one trying to get it right

but whenever I post something in like I reddit singing thread or something like that the only feedback I get is stop straining stop belting

and then I listen to them and all they're doing is whispering

and they don't even know rock so they can't judge it well yknow

now metal on the other hand that is thriving because a lot of people do screaming and harsh vocals

I have tried to do that but I don't know if I even can I have tried it hasn't happened

but my taste is more like this anyway so I don't really need to scream much, but it be nice for some things

oh and also I was in a power metal band

but they kicked me out when they got someone so much better I don't know if you familiar with Gloryhammer but he sings for them now

yeah Gloryhammer is more in the power metal scene so like I don't know if you've heard any DragonForce songs from like guitar hero that's what Power metal is
