Halooow, nice to meet you all!
I like to sing for fun, and my neighborhood is a music-loving place! I like to sing now and then but it's been a wish of mine to be able to sing better. Unfortunately, everyone around me mostly had a mature voices and they don't really aligned with my voice when we sing together. Even though I build a mature voice from time to time, this is how I comfortably and usually sings most of the day during my activities and I don't know anyone who knows how to enhance it.

I hope I can get a criticism (plase go harsh if needed no hard feelings) on enhancing my singing, technique-wise, pronounciation-wise, voice-wise, anything to find out if there are any aspects I need to improve first (beside my english, I'm working on that rn :3)! Oh also, if you all have any song reccom for this type of scale, it would be really helpful! Thankuuuu ^^ ๐Ÿซถ

Hi, I'm not sure if my take will help you much but your voice is very light and airy. You sounded amazing in both of these recordings so nothing jumps out at me in the moment. I'm not sure what language that was but it was giving very much anime intro vibe with that preppy and light tone. The English audio I would say in the beginning your pronunciation was a bit blurry but again your voice is beautiful and so mellow. I could see you singing as a Disney princess or maybe those old 90's shows. It's giving very classical and maybe a bit jazzy. All in all you have an amazing voice. If anything, you can experiment with your vocals seeing how high or low you can go and trying different styles of music to kind of increase your vocal agility. You could try Hip-Hop, Jazz, anything and really find what style you like. I'm not a professional, just sharing my thoughts. ๐Ÿ˜Š

So you're a alto that likes to stay in your confort zone, hehe ๐Ÿ˜Š

#

your voice is really nice! If you keep practicing and little by little add a bit more power in your voice, you can reach some higher notes, and if you relax your voice and let it go more "grounded" you'll do some lows (:

yeah, practice and breath control changes everything

#

I was using the wrong tecnique to do my extreme vocal growls

#

then when I started inhaling before doing the screams, they got super good!

Yeah, something like Lewis Capaldi, James Arthur... you know those guys?

Or trying to sing it

#

You can try to sing-along and see if your tone is close to the artist tone

glass topaz
#

But you kinda have a point... I have difficulties myself in singing in woman's songs but man's voices are too low. I used to enjoy singing to toni braxton for her range

if it is, great!
If you think you have to push a bit, go slow so your voice adapts, it means you're doing progress
If it hurts or strains your voice then stop

what are the parts you usually can't sing?

glass topaz
#

Something that needs like a sudden vocal shift. You know how usually in the last part of the songs chorus there's like a jump in notes or sudden whistle when the notes are far off the current range?

It's like I can't shift between one breathing to another, I need time to adapt considerably because I rarely sing fast songs (weddings gotta do the gigs)

lilac urchin
#

ah yes, a high-pitched part in the end of the words right?

#

it's a tecnique called falsetto, you gotta sing it with a certain soft high-pitched voice, like you're prolonging the final word but making it a whisper, making it lose volume

glass topaz
lilac urchin
#

Yeah, it's just a soft voice

#

normally a powerfull high-pitched voice is more in rock, like Axl Rose or Brian Johnson

glass topaz
#

Something that actually need screams(?)

lilac urchin
#

it needs more controlled power in voice to hit those high notes without cracking
I can :3

glass topaz
#

Hooo....

#

Daymmm lucky bo

lilac urchin
#

It's just a lot of practice and vocal trainning, never giving up>:)

glass topaz
#

Also, how would you know when to take a breath? Does it just built over time? Sometimes it just depends on the inhale- ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

In those little breaks between lyrics

#

and girl, you don't really wanna talk about when doing a extreme metal song

#

I take like... 3 breaths per song because I need airflow to do those screams and growls

glass topaz
#

3 breaths

#

I'm 3 breaths away from passing out
