If you want to learn the base chords for guitar, go for open chords
Google up these chords;
Em. Am. A. C. D. Dm. F
Use ultimateguitar.com for chords for any song, and the majority of mainstream pop songs you'll find out there will use a varietion of these chords
Or download GuitarTuna on your phone
And you can play minigames where you can memorize chords, as well as practice chord accuracy and swap speed
how to stop the buzzing when i play chords?
and practice without my fingers falling off 🤧
Press a little harder, make sure your fingers aren't touching other strings
Gradually and consitently practice, you'll earn that stamina over time
Make sure that each string you press down has good contact with the fret
tysm!
Anytime
play close to the frets as well my teacher told me that when I just started
I'd suggest practising barre chords as soon as you start, so that when you attempt them later on they won't be a huge jump
it hurts so much i cant even practice anymore lol ğŸ˜
but noted, thanks!
trust me I was the same I would freak out at the sight of them ngl but since I started earlier I got the hang of it quicker especially useful since I was getting classically trained
make sure you keep your finger parallel to the fret when barring
and it will hurt at first, it's key to find the right amount of pressure without buzzing but also without using too much force
also, I suggest when practising transitions between other chords and barre, don't pause in between but work on minimalising the gap between each chord, ignoring the way it will sound horrible at first, eventually you'll get it right
try using guitar tuna. it has songs with easy chords and you'll slowly build up speed when changing between chords.
I think that if it hurts that much, it's worth having an experienced player look at the guitar
you might need to fix the action on there ğŸ˜
whats an action?
so action is like how high or low the string is away from the fretboard
a lot of older guitars, especially, will have high action
the higher the action, the more force you need to push the strings down
Check out https://www.justinguitar.com , it's one of the best free resources for guitar out there. It's basically like having a teacher if you follow the lessons on a regular schedule
i think mine is one of the newer ones tho 🤧
I mean, it really just depends on how it was produced. newer guitars tend to have lower action, but not always
I think it's worth getting an experienced player's opinion on how playable it is?
