I have never done karaoke on discord. Only live at venues. How does it work just sitting in my living room? Or does it…?

No, you do not require full microphone setups. Some have expensive setups because they use them for other things, and some sing off the built-in microphone in webcams or phones. Of course having a full setup can increase the quality of the karaoke as well as increase the listeners. Afterall, its just about having fun!

Also, If you're thinking about buying a setup, I suggest talking to people who have one to understand the requirements for different parts. If done incorrectly it could result in you wasting money on things you don't need.
