Heyyy I just got a guitar, something I've always wanted to learn. Got any beginner's tips?

I just got the fender tuner app and started learning tabs on youtube

From there I graduated to https://www.ultimate-guitar.com/ and practiced chords

Helped to listen along to music and try to play along, or to figure out the strum patterns/picking patterns

Worked for me, at least

Also having musician friends that helped me out

You might plateau at some point and get stuck for a bit, but don't give up
