Well you probably aren't gonna be able to do much audio processing on audacity, you need daw for that. If you want I could try and help you with the audio processing and just some general tips on how to go about it!
I would really appreciate any help. I will dm you
You won’t get perfect vocals but a lot of it falls back on the recording and vocal performance before you do any sort of processing to have it sound professional
Well I think he isn't going for a professional sound per say. Yes if you want a professional sound you need both the vocal performance and the mixing/post processing to be spot on. But he specifically mentioned that he wanted to make the best of what he already has recorded, so I'll assume that decent is enough for him
Anthony right on how I'm not going for professional yet, although in the future I do plan on having a better recording process. I want to get familiar with the tools for now just to know how much I can improve a recording using them
Your main tools are EQ, Compressor, Saturation, Delay, and Reverb. You would need a daw to insert these effect and create what is effectively called a signal chain
''Vocal chain''
Using it in a general term because that’s what it is in audio engineering, yes it’s called that
