check this thread for a mess other recommendations https://ptb.discord.com/channels/269408827059732490/1239190059685777468
people have a lot of hot takes in there LMAOOO
at2020 is lowkey fire for the price
At2020
logitech blue yeti is my personal favourite
an i use it, for gaming and making music
+1 for the yeti
-1 for the yeti
on paper the yeti has more features, but audio technica mics just sound better
Yea if quality is what you're looking for don't go for the yeti
at2020 usb is fine but if you'll willing to spend $30 more get the XLR version and a $50 interface like the maudio Mtrack solo for even better quality, plus then you'll already have an interface for potential upgrading in the future
Oh yea and don't forget pop filter and stand if it doesn't come included
you can make your own pop filter tbf
If you don’t mind spending a little more for an audio interface that uses xlr, a Shure SM58 is a very solid mic
Even better, get an SM58
I would take an SM58 over an at2020
Even the SM57
Legit done vocals with them and is pretty close to the SM7B
Aren't SM58s made for live performance tho, and not intended to be used for recording?
They also work great for recording; especially with poor acoustics
Which condensers are super sensitive and pick reflections up easily
conversely, higher sensitivity = more detail, and if you're really on a budget you can use a closet or cover yourself in a blanket
not taking sides, I have both dynamic and condensers and love both
huh, I never knew
The more you know I guess
I used to use a 10 year old Shure mic (no i don't remember the model) and I now have a Classic Yeti which I like but I would not have chosen this one had it not been a trade
the AT2020 USB+ is a great option
thats what i use
another good one is the Blue: Snowball
I have both of those 🙂
Lost my snowball in the garage tho lol
rip snowball
Facts
at2020. i have one
No ffs please don't buy the blue snowball, at least not if you're looking for audio quality
mb 😭
Presonus revelator
Yetis are overpriced, should cost around 20 bucks
