hii i'm a 14 year old girl and i really like singing. i'm thinking about maybe trying to step into the industry, but i want to sing higher. not that i dislike my voice or anything, i just feel like it'd be great to train my voice for that. I know that I can't become a soprano, but I'd like extend my voice to at least mezzo-soprano range. How can I do that?
#how do i expand my range as an alto?

Heyo! I'm 15 and I used to be stuck as an alto too. Now I have a huge range. I recommend just trying to ease yourself into mezzo with practice. Les Mis and Hadestown has some great songs for women that are in the mezzo/alto range. By following general singing advice, such as relaxing and warming up, your range can expand when you practice mezzo songs. This will take time and everyone learns differently so this may not work, but I recommend you give it a shot!
thank you so much! ❤️
Hi! 16 yo bass here! I recently found out this worked for basses as well. Hadestown is great for lower range and Les Mis is incredible for upper range. Just want to say another way to extend your range is Hall of the mountain King. Sing that, ON KEY, and you will notice a difference.
thank you ❤️❤️
