I just really like singing, and I used to be in a server that had a karaoke channel, and it was really fun. Also I want to talk to more people outside of my family and friend group, so joining a public server seemed like a good idea.

Have you tried disabling noise suppression an turning input sensitivity down to 0?

Aight, just keep in mind that everyone's gonna hear your background noise of you do that, so you might wanna try to find the sweet spot where it picks up your singing while also not sending your background noise when you're not talking

A BOYA MM1 for video specifically, so was going to see if it worked for this as well.

Well shotgun mics aren't really made for vocal recording so I wouldn't recommend buying one if that's all you're gonna use it for, yes it probably would capture both your singing and guitar playing but none will sound that good compared to if you recorded them separately one with an xlr microphone

I joined the server because well, i dont want fake praise like "oh my goshhh!! you're so good" and end it with that. i want criticism. and yes, thats different than jus being rude bc u feel like it. (altho i do appreciate the praise and compliments) I want people to be fr w me and be straight up like "hey you can work on your vibrato, or ur pitch, etc".

I found this server and was like yes!!! Love seeing other people who love music and singing as much as i do and everyone here is so chill!
