#What songs make you emotional?

For a while now, I have been of the opinion music is the greatest art form of all time. It’s ability to emotionally resonate with people is almost unrivalled.
My personal favourite song of all time is “The long and winding road” by the Beatles. The original context of the song is that Paul McCartney knew that the Beatles where coming to a end. the long and winding road talks about how no matter the paths he will take in life, he will always be looking for the door that leads back to his band mates.
For me personally however, when I listen to the emotion that Paul puts into every line, to the point he sounds like he is crying. It makes me think back to people I still wish to reunite with. Even if the road is long and winding.
It is hard to listen to without wanting to go into tears.
The song called Lovely.
Sorry by Guns N' Roses can make me quite emotional.
The song reminds me of an experience I've had, so I imagine that I'm singing that, even if I'm aware that Axl is singing it LOL.
I just really relate to the lyrics and some of them, I can connect with things from my own life. That makes me emotional.
But like it's really a good song in general.
the song in fnaf 4 that plays when the crying child talks to the plushies. it’s so… sad. it makes me sad.
Dimash Kudaibergen - SOS d'un terrien en détresse
I really like The Lung by Hiatus Kaiyote cause I was healing from my past relationship and I was also becoming best friends with another dude who is now my boyfriend, so it reminds me of both happiness and sadness.
A song that I cry to everytime is Princess Leias theme. I also cry to most of Frederic Chopins songs
Mine is TV and What was I made For?
Both of them from Billie
Well, one is because of how it portrayed my love life at a certain moment and that aside, melodically speaking it sounds beautiful which goes perfect with the topic it talks about
The other one is just purely because how it sounds, made me emotional when I went to see Barbie hahah
You may be crying, but all I hear is screeching cat 😭 His best song is The Story of One Sky. Way better than SOS.
Praying by Kesha makes me cry because of how much emotional and mental abuse I had when I was little. I was told I was never going to be anything, but I am here today and I have people who actually support me.
She Used to be Mine by Sara Bareilles from the Broadway musical Waitress is a heavy hitter as well.
No need to mock or to undermine someone's taste, kid. It's immature.
Many of us find ourselves some way in our choice's "emotional songs" and many of us were told we won't achieve anything. That's why we tried hard to be where we're now.
No need to be uptight
Rainbow by Emigrate, it feels good to listen on rainy days and long roads
Turning page - sleeping at last
Last Kiss - Pearl Jam; My Little Girl & If You're Reading This - Tim McGraw
broken windows lock of love pt 3
Your gonna be okay by brian and Jenn Johnson. THe reason why this song makes me so emotional is because it the played the day that my sisters dog died, but her dog was literally my best friend. She ended up getting hit by a car speeding down the road. I still think of her every time I hear this song
Another Love by Tom Odell. I lost my relationship of two years in December of 2022 and when I first heard that song, I cried horribly. I then went on a stint of just bad relationships. I wasn’t ready for one but kept throwing myself into them. When the first girl I dated after my gf broke up with me, she was put off by how I didn’t cry, but the song says “All my tears have been used up on another love”. Good day
listen before i go by billie eilish i think its self explanatory
Wish you the best by lewis capaldi it reminds me of when I saw my dog die in front of me and i could do nothing abt it. it just makes me break down and have feelings wash over me like a wave of sadness.
Oxxymiron - Sity under the sole
Very emotional and philosophic lyrics + cool beat makes you fly away from russian style
(not vodka bears or smth idk)
allstar
Anything by flatsound kills me frfr
Inside out by duster i'm not sure on the meaning but it was the first song that played when i tried to calm myself down after i witnessed my bestest friend i knew all my life hang himself on a video call
Từ đó - It's an OST from the Mắt Biếc film. The film is based from a book i read long time ago. It's about a love story, but it has a SE. There's a guy who fell in love w a lovely girl when they were young. He loves her so much idk why. Then they leave the hometown to a big city for highschool, she fell in love w a dum ass and got pregnant, he still loves her, he even takes care of her damn daughter. She still doesn't realize his love. He decides to move on and move to nowhere (she still doesn't realize his love)
"Rainbow" or "Lead You On" by Emigrate
2 songs I tear up to:
-I really wanna stay at your house from Cyberpunk Edgerunners
hits me with the feeling of loneliness and emptiness of when I was with my prior ex and being horribly abused
-Leaves from the Vine from Avatar the Last Airbender
just a really emotional scene that only psychopaths wouldn't cry at
this one especially because I was at the lowest I'd ever been, feeling like there was no passion available left in life
See You Again by Charlie Puth, Sing For The Moment by Eminem, and Everything I Wanted by Billie Eilish.

Soul music makes me feel emotional, something that I can visualize or mentally connect too. Something relatable or relaxing.

Somewhere only we know by keane. It makes me feel nostalgic and just makes me wanna go out and just walk aimlessly.
