#what type of singer are you?
1 messages · Page 1 of 1 (latest)
Choir, Alto
Casual/Theatre (though Metal is my favorite genre both to listen to and sing) and I'm a contralto
The bad kind😅
Im an altp
I'm a Countertenor
mostly the black gospel kind
Bass
I’ve done musicals and choir. Originally back in middle school I was an alto. When I came into high school my choir teacher said I was a soprano switch so I would either do Soprano 1 or 2 parts. Although preferably and what’s best for me is Soprano 2. Which are the lower notes for Soprano. I usually sing ballet and sometimes choir like songs.
Haven't been about any Genre-based and just any technical classifications. Perhaps my playlist would say it better! From Michael Jackson, Irene Cara, Survivor, ABBA, Ace of Base, Love is a Battlefield, Diamonds are Forever to the newer side of explorations including some Destiny's child and Beyonce songs like Say my name, Baby Boy, with the gravitating Boy is Mine in between, it's all about the tune and these ears that are pretty good at what they do !
Various rock vocalist. QOTSA, Audioslave, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Tool, NIN, ect. Been at it 16 years. Classically trained for a year which was super helpful in my vocal development. I'm pretty confident with what I can do
Baritone. Had training in opera, but I mostly sing 80's pop songs.
I'm an alto, I learned that from my sister who was in choir.
No specific genre or range. I can sing anywhere from alto to soprano 2. (I've done a lot of work on my range lmao)
I do a lot of theater and indie music! I don't know what I am because in choir I like went back and forth between alto and soprano lmao
you know in that one scene in anime where a tone deaf person start singing and everyone starting to cover their ears and fall to the ground due the ear damage? yea that's my kind of singing
Counter-tenor but my vocal range is from baritone to soprano. I can say I'm a versatile singer but I love singing either songs with many high notes or a ballad just to highlight my range, especially I like to sing in a high-pitched tone.
The horrible kind
i am in the school choir, but i don’t enjoy it that much anymore (probably because we have like a million concerts and never rest
)
soprano 1 btw!
i mostly prefer singing on my own though, whenever i feel like it. i sing in the shower a lot lmao
Fun, clean stuff- or choir
Frustrated singer
lol ok I am an Indian Classical Carnatic singer, ig i cud do a bit of Hindustani classical, besides that pop and indian film/cinema genres fall into my zone.. music is awesome.. haha
Casual - my dad and sisters were all singers, I grew up enjoying listening to them sing
Casual singer here. Tend to go tenor or bass
I do theatre, choir, and casual!! I'm a mezzo soprano but I can hit both alto and soprano notes :3
I'm a filthy casual
im a baritone , casual singer
casual/choir
Oooo same!!!
I do choir, theater, casual, and this summer I’ve been dipping my toes in operatic. I was an alto last year before my teacher switched me over to the soprano section 😭
I’m casual mezzo/soprano
so mezzo? xd
Oh yea lol
ooh
casual, tenor/baritone
i do casual and choir, and i’m in soprano 1 in my school choir! and my vocal range usually depends on my mood (it’s a lot easier for me to sing low if i don’t feel as happy lol)
The shitty type
rawr
am alto harhar
A platypus singer?
I sing acapella, folk, country and some pop. Basso Profundo to mid baritone.
casual, theater and choir (alto and soprano 2)
nice :D
I am casually choir bassitone
I am a pop & rock singer that sings in whichever language that comes to my mind, I mostly sing in English but I already did sing on French, Portuguese (my native language), Spanish, Turkish, Swedish, Japanese and Afrikaans and looking forward to sing in more languages. I will participate in 2 talent contests in August one of them will grant me some money if I do great. I am not a polyglot when it comes to speaking but I feel like one when I sing. I can either sing Tenor or Bass, I'm the kind of guy that doesn't refuse a challenge when it comes to make a note. I even sing songs that are written by both female and male artists. Currently I am rehearsing "Lionheart" from Tom Grennan which is one of the songs I am gonna sing in one of the talent competitions.
Oh, and MUSE is my favourite band.
I can't sing, but I'm glad to be here
:DD
u can
i don't know realy
People say I have a theatre + choir voice. Which, they aren't wrong, considering I've been a part of choir and theatre for a couple of years back in Middle and High School. I'm a Soprano (1st and 2nd). :)
I'm a jazz and blues singer, but I do classical and theatrical singing also. Opera is for warming up and practice. It's like....maintenence. I know that if my operatic voice is tip-top everything else will be fire.
I actually got an award this year at my college for being able to sing lots of genres! I studied Jazz mainly in college, so i would say that is my best one. I also love musical theatre and ballads, and I had to take choir every year in college, so i'd like to think I can sing that pretty well.
Shower singing lmao
Baritenor. 10+ XP. I'm still learning (and will never stop) to be my own producer, but doing mostly vocal covers so far.
I do sing almost everything in 3 lang.
Started with musicals, went to pop, rock, metal. But I admit to rarely try any opera and black/death metal (because I'm just not really into it), I can growl though.
I really like power metal. Currently learning vocal fry/screams and music production under a good wing.
AI will wipe us out when I'm done learning 💀
XD
:/
I'm a casual singer but I really enjoy singing specific genres like pop, Rock, indie, and acoustic.
im a good singer :V
same
casual, opera, and choir :) a lot of k-pop
trash singer
am casual singer. My favorite genre to sing is jazz
Dramatical Baritone I think. Never took a test since I'm not 18-21 yet and my vocals haven't developed completely. I'll take a test the day I start singing without voice cracks. But for now I can just look at my favourite vocalist and say "oh yeah this man is just like me fr"
I'm a Singing Saiyan, singing level over 9000!
well played
I sing casually but I was told I’m an alto
oop
soft
light-lyric tenor
I sing either grunge or indie
I sing a bit of everything, but do best with Elvis, Johnny Cash, lounge music, and theatre. No clue how I would define my voice though.
I posted a couple clips on #1058511104629801041 that could give you an idea.
idk :v
Singing style: Melodic/lyrical
Voice Range: Alto or Contralto
bass boy
anime lyrics mainly; never had lessons so IDK the diff between stuff like alto or tenor
The one who likes to sing but sounds like shit
i do country music
I do pop
Almost polished baritone
deep bass
Casual, typically ambient stuff, jazz, and soft tones. I usually sing for my own hobby projects. My range is roughly C3 - C6.
Jazz (rlly fun), r&b, alto, and shower singer ‼️
Karaoke only, and I'm a dramatic bass. Okay, maybe I don't "sing good" but I sound unique - and I've been practicing my way back into guttural singing. I'm probably better at MoviePhone voice overs and making anime monster noises than holding notes, at least right now.
Thing that really sucks about being a dramatic bass is that a lot of music just doesn't sound good in my range - especially if it's high-register and I have to strain.
Hi! I'm a mezzo 🙂 and I like a cluster of genre...some choir, some show tunes, pop. I'll try a lot of genre!
same
thb iidk i used to think im a tenor but now thathat i do test i think im an alto
There are many sites online you can test your vocal range by singing into a microphone. I just search "vocal range test" and a bunch pops up
bathroom
I sing opera, stage, contemporary, blues, folk, & liturgical music. My range is D2-B5.. but I am technically a dramatic tenor.
casual, alto
not sure. whatever it is where i try to match the song im singing? like if its a radio song or something, i jsut try to match it. is that casual?
yeah that’s casual
choir/jazz basso profundo
Mezzo soprano and I sing casually (but would love to sing professionally), people compare my voice mainly to Adele, Amy Winehouse and Beyoncé which is very flattering but I take it with a grain of salt lol. Mainly pop and RnB.
higher alto but not suprano i think
I have no idea what my voice type is, I just singing lmao
I'm a tenor. I sing casually
relatable
yeah... is there like a name for in between saprano and alto???
Casual / Choir - Alto/Soprano(depending on song)
SAME!
choir bass >:)
CHOIR?? ME TOO!!! alto or soprano
mezzo soprano
oh that's a good one, i'd appreciate a link up for real
Thx ❤️
ITS A MIXTURE SOMETIMES BUT MOSTLY SOPRANO
transgender singer
the bad kind
i’m sure you’re a great singer, don’t be so hard on yourself
thx for being so positive but you can't be good at everything and i suck at singing that doesn't stop me from doing it but it does sound like shit
im a baritone bordering bass, used to be in choir for a few years but thats some time ago lol other than that im just mediocre. I can do polyphonics very well, which is super rare
R&B
True, I also suck at singing but I try to be more positive about it
I can do Pop, Jazz or Choir
Hi! I don't know what type of singer I am. I do know I am either mezzo or soprano, and that I mainly sing pop music in English, Spanish and French.
I’m C2-F5 and I love Pop /Pop rock /indie
i beatbox
I'm a theatre kid hehe
Countertenor and soprano
Choir, Tenor, and Baritone. Also Former Voice Actor for high school homecoming skit
I think my name suggests it
hello good day, @everyone
I am a 2d music video animator and there's an ideal opportunity for you, it will be appreciated if I can get a response from you... we wanna have some conversation together sometime!
thanks and regards
More details needed
I am a pretty versatile Tenor
I am a singer rapper
Range tester says my range is F#2 - F4 or so, but I have some damage on the high parts and am uncomfortable there. This is more or less a Baritone range. I've sang a lot of choir music, from both Jazz to Chamber, and I've some experience soloing contemporary music.
i am a singer that can sing c0-c10 and can learn any song only by 1 listen
@indigo parcel thanks for the cookie
im an alto and self taught
causal( rnb and alternaive) and i am a soprano
damn, that's pretty rare bro
yea 😅
baritone vocal
im a looper so idk brotha
casual mezzo-sopranooo
Lazy singer😑😑😑
I am a casual singer… soft tone… I sing the softer songs… I fall under 2 ranges! Baritone. And bass.
rock singer
casual low pitched voice, I always try various thing tho but for a song that needs a high pitch voice or tenor voice, i struggled a lot cause my vocal range is rlly low
Hell yeah brother
I'm a huge theater singer but I also do classical and casual (I've been told I'd be good at r&b or mitski like music). I have a pretty big vocal range and sing mostly in second soprano or mezzo, but I can hit some pretty low notes and relatively high ones (I think I can hit a somewhat high G/F)
Hellll heyeaaaahhhh
Still good to have a- female? I think- PERSON. bass/baritone singer
Yeaaah! (Dw I go by any)
Oh cool
I sing theatre ish and casual, I fall under tenor and baritone mostly.
hii
Huh.so you’re a ‘hi’ singer/j
lol no
Church choir 🙂
Opera, choir and alto
ur avg deathcore screaming gargoyle
I consider myself a variety singer. Classically trained and starting in opera. But I've done anything from Metal to Punk to Musical Theatre to Pop. It just depends on if I'm sick or how closely I am to the last time I was sick
choir, bass + pop rock
im a pop,a little bit of country and rock and im gonna try rapping
jazz-funk singer, i did choir in highschool and college tho, and was a soprano, sometimes they'd move me to alto if needed. jazzy funky stuff is my favorite to sing, but i also do pop rock, ballads, and musical theatre
im in my school choir, a tenor/bass/baritone
Choir/casual/theater, alto
Choir (Soprano 0), Musical Theater, Kpop, and regular pop.<3
Casual singer just love to sing songs I enjoy listening to
I believe im a soprano? my range is A3-A6 and I sing for theater and casually!
Casual, mezzo I think??, Idk bro I js mostly cover vocaloid songs 😭
LOL It's been almost a year since I wrote this so imma do an update. I started singing without voice cracks, I can go all the way from A5 to F#2 and I haven't even taken voice control lessons. I can fry scream, do brutal vocals to a point as well. Once I start taking them I will definitely make another update xD
I Sing Mostly Casual, Sometimes Theater! My Vocal Range is a Mezzo Soprano! I Mostly Just Cover Songs and yeah that basically it! (Not Sure what my vocal range goes too)
Baritone singer, I believe. Vocal range has gotten better in past few years but I’m most comfortable there. Self-taught. I just make YouTube covers as a hobby. Rock and Ballad style stuff seems to be my preferred ones.
Yooo send me some over DM?
Casual/Theater, baritone
Singer
Baritone
hihi! i sing casual, theatre, and choir and i’m a mezzo but i prefer singing alto :))
Let's have a yodeling contest
I'm a mezzo Owo
Mainly just casual i think (and the bad ones 🥲)
everyone in this server knows a lot about music but me
Dont worry, there’s lots of room to learn
the best singer
yo im a choir bass
I can understand that… with music comes emotion… it’s not about knowing about it, it’s about knowing what YOU like…
Acapella/choir/a little bit of everything, true bass
Anything on my mind
Choir, bass 2. Every bass has a soprano dream.
mezzo soprano in need of 400 dollars to buy a decent mic for recording 😞
Jazz/rnb/soul/ethno/classical/pop-rock mezzosoprano
I try not to limit myself on what I can sing and try my best at everything
IM just here because music gives me chills, hearing perfect notes is the most beautiful thing and I want to sing them and hear them. I probably dont sing them as much as I want but I hope you understand the chills down my spine.
Im michael Jackson
IM Bernadette Peters
carrera gt
I’m Johnny Cash
I’m a casual baritone singer
Jazz, or casual
same
fr
@cinder lynx how do i know what singer i am?! its kind off difficult because im not experienced what singing terms (ig) but ive been singing since forever... tips?
find out your vocal range (singing range) then determine what type of singer you are by using a vocal range chart (just search "vocal range charts"). also, if you don't know what vocal range you have, it will help significantly if you use an instrument either online or if you have one irl, to play the note and hum or sing it afterwards.
also, i'm a countertenor :D
First message in server
: I'm a "polyjamorous" karaoke singer and vocal range is apparently baritone-alto 🫰
i wont gonna say im a singer. but i like to sing rock, heavy metal songs.
ty for the help! but if my range stops at E6, am i an alto or mezzo?
how do i find this out
pop, r&b and sometimes musical/theatre
Choir, jazz
pop/partly hip hop
casual
yodelodelodeleheeAyeeHOOOOO
fun fact spent one summer learning yodelling haha
mezzo soprano i think(?)
A tenor and I sing rock and metal (cleans)! Especially the ones that go really high. A lot of it is a bit less impressive when you realise singing in head voice is easier than in mixed voice.
I've lately been learning some The Mars Volta songs. Really fun to sing. Hit me up if anyone wants to collab!
Choir, soprano
Low baritone/Bass/Tenor
They compare me to 5 singers that being, Elvis, Sinatra, buble, bing Crosby, and Johnny cash
Soprano, choir, theatre, opera!! x
I used to do choir and musical theater, but now I write my own music and actively working towards a career (very early stages since i have low funds, but i just moved to LA to make it easier) but my range is from abt E3-G6
casual, soprano C:
A bad mezzo soprano
Mezzo soprano, I'll sing anything but I'm best a theater/disney stuff.
casual tenor 🙂
all, I try to sing all genre even if I'm bad at it
All genre, mostly pop and theater - coloratura:3
Casual and choir 👁️👁️
causual i wanna start making music tho and ive been told im a good bass but i sing a bit high for a bass depending on the song
I am starting a music job
tenor, baritone and falsetto
Choir, soprano
Casual, told my voice is an Operatic Tenor,
Aka I have a very loud strong voice
I sing very different songs as I have very vast different tastes, like musicals, rap (yes those two are in the same genre technically) pop, Japanese pop, tbh I’m not that knowledgeable about music terminology not even general known terms, but I do know I like to sing and come from a family of people who can and love to sing
been in choir for 6ish years, im an alto 2! i wanted to join mads this year but its a lot on my schedule😭
HELLOO BRAIRR!!
Casual alto, vocal range F3-F5, I prefer the dark and emotional singing genres but I can do a cheerful song on occasions. Singing style is melodic/lyrical and i like doing vibrato but I can suppress it if desired that way. I do tend to have a soft voice since I'm used to singing for myself, and I can mimic certain artists' styles or blend them if you need me to (I'm way too good at it)
casual alto, but recently found out i advanced to a mezzo !!
Toyota AE86
i wrote this last year but im now a low alto who can hit mezzo notes
casual soprano (more comfy into mezzo-soprano) vocal range: g3-d5 (extended: d5-c7)
i get u 😭 overtime u start to not be able to sing the notes u used to it sucks
frfr😭 i can still hit soprano but since im learning how to sing more rock ive went to a. ery low alto😭😭
ohh icic
i used to be soprano now its more mezzo-soprano it sucks
oh yea i hated that i was in choir basically my whole life and when i lost some of my range i was so disappointed
yea same
im still not sure tho bc last time i got put in a choir they said i was soprano so im like..???
lol
word i was in choir last year for my church and they said i was mezzo when i was still a soprano
yea
its funny haha
i think its funny cuz maybe it rlly depends on the population bc sometimes the ppl around u might hit higher or lower then u then u get put in that catergory
yea it sucks sometimes thoo
it does bc im a intricate person so if i get told im __ then im like noooo
yk
haha
omg frr lol
yea like i get insecure lol
i get what u mean
ye
Hmm im just a casual singer
I Consider myself being a baritone because my register break / passagio starts right around F#4
My vocal range is F2 (E2 on a good day) - F#4 ( G4/A4 on a good day) - A5 ( Falsetto/Head voice)
every day i try to train to get my mix voice, it might take awhile tho but im patient
I don’t sing much cause I hate how I sound but I mainly listen to a combination of Country, Hip-Hop/Rap, and a little pop.
casual (I guess) soprano
Aint no one likes rock here
I like rock but I can't say that I'm a rock singer. my voice likes to crack when I'm trying to sing like this
im a pop and lyrical singer kinda
So like you're more into lyrical rap?
Nono
lyrical, more soft songs like whitney houston, lana del rey, and church songs
i do a mix of things tbh, i like implementing multiple styles and techniques into my vocals and general music knowlage.
but mainly i do ballads and metal kind of vocals
yeah that’s like me. i do a mix of things and try different genres
im more pop/r&b and lyrical
me when i go from screaming to hitting notes that shouldnt be possible with my range, and then to basically moaning into the mic (sleep token is doing things to me bro)
yeah i do vocal lessons though to help. i can only do like small riffs in my vocal range.
not major but high notes work for me too, im still learning whistle.
notes
vocal lessons are great for anyone at any stage who hasnt been giving any training tbh, no matter how much talent youve been born with, you'll never reach your full potential without skill.
I’ve been doing it for like 1 year and my voice has improved massively
but I want to focus on small parts of my voice
I could you something like that…
Huh
Metal, classic rock, ill try anything except hip hop or RNB. Not much for Courty Music either
I could use a jazzy person
Ohh
you are a soprano i believe
i'm a countertenor with a vocal range of F2 - G#5
Basso, baritenore
you are likely a mezzo-soprano
Funk
I like to rap
thanks 🙂
I have no idea what I do 😭
i dont know what they call it but my voice type is like Bruno Mars and James Arthur, leaning more towards Bruno tho
I am whatever Matt Bellamy from Muse is called, E2-B5 is my vocal range
tenor imo, bruno's voice is too light to be a baritone
Choir alto, but actual voice type mezzo
“a”
I was bass singer until last January, now mainly focus on mezzo
yes. Its vocal range.
Barely any can they’re usually called countertenors
yeah agreed
one of the example is mitch from pentatonix
and piet arion from yt
and yeah that one dude from the glee series
chris colfer iirc
yep alex newell
best expample of a natural counter tenor
They were born male but they are transgender i’m pretty sure or nonbianary
complicated stuff
I have no clue. I tend to sing really light, but im told i sound better singing dark. I like modern christian music (im not christian), but also really sad and some rock songs
its all over the place
I’m a shitty singer

Self aware kind
casual and opera
Metal and softer songs for now, but I'm trying to get better
if I had to choose probably mezzo soprano
I sing like for classical music but I mostly enjoy pop, r&b, soft or really challenging songs lol
Still a casual baritone… I like doing the softer songs
casual but i think i am a soprano, would love to take singing lessons though TwT
Elvis style, if thats even one
Baritonussy
I sing a lot of theatre and indie songs and I’m pretty sure I’m a baritenor last time I checked
Im a comedic singer
Yooo we should sing tg sometime
I’m comically bad 😼
Lololol
opera (not very good) and casual, soprano
casual, alto (I do indie and jazz :D)
Theater (Occasional casual), Alto (Occasional soprano)
a soft singer, or maybe a high pitch kind of one
I sing 80s pop and I have a vocal range from baritone to soprano
Casual bass singer ig
Casual/Rock/Theater, Tenor-Alto
I’m a bad singer
It's okay you can try
tenor alto?? you can only be once voice type
if you’re a guy you’re just a tenor
Tenor I meant, idk why my phone did that 😅
Choir , Soprano 2
had 2 girls in my chamber choir sing first tenor last year
1 of which switched from alto to tenor and the other was a tenor from freshman year to junior year
that’s cool i’m a mezzo and sing tenor in choir
but they are most likely mezzos or maybe contraltos but most likely mezzo sopranos
Choral parts are usually not the same as your voice type
casual, soprano and alto
Anything I feel like singing
As long as it speaks to me and my range can take it, I'll put my heart to it
Used to sing choir and did some acapella a while back too, so I've been blessed to hear many inspirational people
thats good
Casual and Theatre but I'm not sure where I fall 😭

mezzoo
soprano
shower singer
Choir - Bass/BariTenor Sopranist
Metal - no clue. Mid range?
Soprano, I was in choir but started in classical musical theatre! Now I dabble in contemporary musical theatre and indie folk
mezzo soprano! i used to be a vocalist for a school band, only tried it once for the entire school year because i like singing, thought it’d help with my social anxiety (it just gave me stage fright)
Technically a countertenor, but not full range, just below what’s considered the mezzo alto range but my range can reach up to soprano.
(Range is still changing, given it’s never fully open range) 😭
I do jpop
Tenor and I often sing a lot of crooner music and some pop. Still trying to improve my vocals as I think I’ve kinda settled into my range. I also sing my schools chorus.
Soprano,alto,tenor hehe
Theater, disney, soul/r&b, rap, oldies, some pop, some progressive rock (at least thinking of my karaoke songs). Plus lullabies I sing to my daughter. Oh but mostly an in the car singer lol

I'm in a choir right now and I'm not sure what type i am. it depends on the song I guess. (maybe someone tell me what type i am by listening what i sing? Songs i randomly start singing is. "Dandelions" "Rolling in the deep" "Die with smile".)
Sing traditional/ folk songs with a choir and sing bass. Though usually i sing in the baritone to tenor range when im singing by myself. I can reach alto but i usually dont ever really need to.
Oh okay thx
punk rock kind
I can't sing. 🥺😮💨🎀✨️
i would be down to listen to you sing. It also depends on how you sing it too.

A type of singer who wants to sing hard beat songs but voice is too soft🥲
Tenor
You wanna do metal but your voice is too soft?
I might have a solution…
Or not metal-?
What kind of hard beat songs
Like R&B, rock something like Bad by Christopher for example
If I sing it, it would lidget turn into some calm song with beats on
Okay I have a solution…

Excuse me?
casual, jazz, theatre, indie, mezzo 😼
Soprano
I’m still a bass. I play and sing bass :Q
indian classical singer with western vocals
Partly opera. Well I'm an operatic bass singer. I also sing with subharmonics, overtone, and growling techniques. I know how to do Mongolian throat singing a bit and I also sing rock and sad ballad songs mainly from the 80s or some country songs from the 50s.
I learnt how to access the whistle register but I still find it difficult for me to belt it with perfect agility as a kid undergoing pubs and vocal changes.
Mostly chorus and theather as a hobby. Im an alto 😋
Jazz, rap, mellow pop, oldies. Viking music/sagas. I’m either a mezzo alto, or contralto. (Was told my range is pretty open) - but unsure lol.
I find overtone singing interesting, have taken a few jabs at it. Same with yodeling, and other styles.
Uhhhh, I just sing for my lyric videos
casual and theatre, am a soprano but I could do alto
Choir, tenor (baritone as well)
Musical theater/ chorus- soprano in chorus, mezzo in musical theater!! Untrained, but I’ve done both for a while
sad songs
A self taught one! My way of learning was mimicking my favorite singers voices as best I could until I felt good about it. Then after that I branched off and learned my own style of singing that fit me! TA DAAA 🎉
Training for opera, I'm a soprano 🤗
How do you even tell what kind of singer you are?
From your voice range
It depends if I could do it or no, but I think any except opera…maybe casual? 🥲
They got an app or something for that?
No, your voice teacher tells you or you can figure it on your own: f.e. alto is a low female voice, mezzosoprano is a medium female voice and soprano is a high female voice. The same goes for males - bass, baritone and tenor
Ty for well thought out explanation, i never had a vocal teacher ill see if i can find out what kinda voice i have
Good luck with that! Always remember to do some warming up exercises before singing your lowest-highest notes, so you don't strain your voice that way:)
I usually vocal warm up with 1 particular song, is that something more people do?
You can do that, but I'd recommend doing exercises, because they teach you better technique and breath management, also you sing more various notes and note intervals that way which helps you warm up better and be able to train your voice mobility, agility:)
There are a lot of exercises for beginners or advanced singers on youtube, just search which genre you prefer more - classical or pop.
I've been paying more attention to my vocal range to volume ratio. I just moved into a place where i can sing a lot louder, and it has been nice to experiment, so i appreciate the advice on warmups. I feel as if i have to warm up differently at higher volume.
I'm very use to singing as if i'm whispering
Don't forget to use your diaphragm for loud singing, otherwise you'll hurt your voice badly! And actually, it is easier to sing louder than quietly lol You have to have way more control over your voice to do piano correctly. Anyways, sorry for babbling on so much haha Goodluck!!
I feel silly for asking weird questions, im just the only person i know who really sings, so im very curious.
Thank you soo much, enjoy your day!
I'm Curious, I'm new to learning how to sing. should I already decide what type of singer I wanna be or just sing whatever genre till It finally clicks?
Noo, you should definitely experiment and find what works for you! Or just sing different genres all the time if you enjoy that
I don't know, baritone and I have creativity to exploit
Im in between a tenor-baritone, sing pop music in general, but ballad suits me more i think so
Tbh I’ve been told in choir that I am an Alto and a Soprano and it confuses me 🥲 so like I think I’m a Mezzo then? Idk 🤷♀️ but Choir :3 💗
Like I’ve been placed from Soprano to Alto and then Soprano again and it confused me 🥲
im a big theatre kid, but i also sing some calmer songs (mostly from steven universe lol) and im a baritone rn
Still baritone, dunno why I keep coming back to say this… btw I do more metal songs now
pop/rnb ? i think baritone not sure
I can sing practically anything and I’m a mezzo 😼

update about half a year later:
so turns out im actually a low-alto/contralto, my lowest note being a C3/D3 (honestly depends on the day LOL) and my highest being a G4 !! I still love R&B and have been getting myself into different genres, such as k-pop (always loved it), musical, rock, pop, soul, indie, etc. My riffs are so much more developed and my control has gotten way better over these past few months
Jazz, bass
the best
Frog😎🎙️
I'd say more of a contralto. I think the lowest a mezzo can go is E3.
Apologies for ping btw.
nicee
Idk how it's called but I sing at like a lower-mid range (if that makes sense)
I do grungy stuff
