soooo i got bored and decided to make this recording, and i was wondering if there was anything i could add or fix to make it sound better. y'know?
one of the things i was thinking abt adding was some soft (almost hum-like) harmonies. i just don't know if it would ruin the simplicity of it. so i came to ask for help from you guys!

thank you all!! <3

Hey, just listened and the piece is honestly quite beautiful. Adding some harmonies for certain parts would definitely help but the main thing quality wise would be the recording making sure it doesn’t clip and using proper recording technique in the best part of the room. From there a lot of it would be subtle editing using Melodyne and some gentle compression and EQ with very subtle delay and reverb. Might even would use a bit of saturation to ever so slightly enhance the vocals

Harmonies can be added in whatever parts you would like accented when you’re listening back to the song

Main thing to remember is if it sounds good, it’s good

No shit, you sound great. I use soundtrap though, for recording covers, easy to use interface for a noob like me (lol). Bandlab's is too, I use to make noodle around w instrumentals :))
But back to you, a few background harmonies wouldnt hurt, but even here it's awesome. The simplicity. The only thing I'd say is to reconsider where you're recording from. A cleaner, vocal recording that is mixed with the instrumental seamlessly. Just technical stuff, not your singing. You slayed ;))
Plus, that laugh at the end. Cute.
Raw. Goes well with the simplicity of the entire track :))
