Doomsday feels desperate, because it is. Marvel scrapped the entire Kang storyline, which at least had some buildup. Even if Doom was meant to be the hidden villain in that arc, it would’ve been more cohesive than this. Now they’re retrofitting disconnected projects that was meant to led into Kang dynasty into a unified story doom story, and it shows.

Making Mr. Fantastic the lead in Avengers: Doomsday feels like a major misstep. It’s like jumping from Man of Steel straight into Justice League, rushing from the Fantastic Four’s intro to a multiversal climax is bound to be messy.
