#How do you know if you have a passion in Filmmaking (writer specifically.)

Try to start with thinking about what kind of movie i want to watch that doesn't exist
hmm but even if I think and all how do i make it or sell my idea/movie script
also that's hard to think of hmm
nobody can write a good screenplay on their first try. you have to write dozens of bad ones before you know how to write a good one. if you have the passion, you'll write those dozens of bad scripts because you enjoy it.
or if you have hollywood connections, you can skip all that and be a writer even if you arent any good
I agree, I don't have any Hollywood connections, I'm not even European lol. So, is there any possibility where I can sell my movie/script idea to directors.
But that's still far away, first I need to write a bunch of storyline/prompts and check if it's any good or I have real passion for it.
for me the passion is just pure interest and drive to learn. The biggest indicator for me is that whenever i stop making or feel like doing so i will always come around and lead to creating something new.
Making shit just makes my day, what can i say?
Write books. Make your storyline into a novel and after you finish writing it, find a literary agent to get your book published. Repeat this until you make great novels and are known for making great novels. Trust me, this works. Jurassic park was a novel once, schindler’s list, the Shawshank redemption, shutter island, many more.
I guess technically if you have passion you just write and write and don't feel the need to sell these things
Passion originated from Latin word passio which means suffering. It just clicks with me. Passion is something that you are willing to suffer for it again and again.
I started in middle school and I quickly realized that I liked filmmaking. Then, in high school, I wrote scripts for my own projects, and it's where I realized I liked, more specifically, writing the scripts and making them sorta charming and captivating for the audience, and I'm not bad at it either. So that's where it all started.

You can’t stop writing. It sounds like you’re already finding yourself thinking of ideas, just write them down, edit and reformat it later
You’re thinking way too far ahead. Focus on writing the script, then after you’re finished you can worry about how to sell it
