since i dont think its intentions is to replace or even be the og mean girls

its a good musical adaptation even if i have some complaints

but overall very solid

This is a goob movie and I wish Paramount did sabotage its WOM by not advertising it as a musical

I’m not gonna be like flying across the country doing Oscar award campaigning for this film but they turned perception of this film from a pretty decent and very charming broadway film adaptation into people thinking it’s just another example of Hollywood being out of ideas and just taking old movies but doing them again.

i love angourie as an actress, but i found she was miscast here vocally

especially around a cast with a lot of braodway/theatre experience

i wish it was a little longer, to account for some of the cut songs

and the song at the beginning (the one cady sings) is simply not as good as the one in the musical

Renee Rapp played Regina in the musical tho, so it makes sense that she was great

I honestly didn’t have the same issues you have but yeah, Reneé was the best performance, for sure.

And no im not just biased towards Regina lol

I think it was just really obvious that Angourie was the weakest singer, so it pulled me out of some of her songs personally

She certainly wasn't bad, but it didn't work for me

Not perfect, but I didn't feel let down at all

Some weak moments, but lots of strong moments and really strong performances as well

Best performances:

Karen, Regina, Damien

Weaker performances:

Gretchen, Cady, Janis (she's a good musical performer, but doesn't pull the character off nearly as well as OG Janis)
