Depends what age exactly

I Wish, Nobody Knows and Yi-Yi are great early coming of age movies

#

I like Chungking Express and Burning but they are both more young adults lost in life than coming of age movies

#

There's plenty of Japanese high school coming of age movies but most have a predominantly female cast

#

so I don't have many examples there

#

Maybe Battle Royale??
