Good Day

Guys i am from canada and its just a introduction and also one question. I am 23 year old never been to film school . i know little bit about composition, cameras and i am very interested in making movies. Would love to connect with like minded people from Toronto, york and other near by places.

My question is how can I search for jobs such as pa, camera assistant. I want to get started in industry as i am also very old already. I don’t want to waste my time. Any help would be appreciated

Thank you

Okay I see you have interest in film making and other things I would have suggested more but I think this is good for now , I would say , It's great to hear that you're interested in pursuing a career in the film industry. Here are a few tips to help you get started:

  1. Network - Attend industry events and film festivals in your area. This is a great way to meet people in the industry and build relationships with potential employers and collaborators.

  2. Join online forums - There are many online communities for filmmakers and film enthusiasts. Join a few that are relevant to your interests and location to connect with people and get advice.

  3. Apply for internships or entry-level positions - Many film studios and production companies offer internships or entry-level positions. These roles allow you to gain experience and make connections in the industry. Check job boards frequently and apply for positions that interest you.

  4. Build your portfolio - Start creating your own films and projects. This will help you develop your skills and showcase your work to potential employers.

  5. Be persistent - Finding work in the film industry can be tough, but don't give up. Keep networking, applying for positions, and creating your own projects. It takes time to build a career in this industry, but with hard work and dedication, it is possible.

Good luck with your journey in the film industry!
