#š„ John Wick: Chapter 4

They cut away from a lot of final kills. I do agree. Release the X rated cut
Charlie with the based takes.
Truth
marko zaror will be now on my radar. Cause fuck me he did well
Its on Letterboxd no?
Didnāt know about this
Happy bday
Likewise. But the way they handled it was so much better than I could have imagined.
Lmao whus
That is not confirmation
JOHN WICK 5: HELL IS CALLING HIS NAME.
People just assumed thereād be a fifth
Remember that users add stuff to Letterboxd, anyone can
So
After him rolling down the stairs someone in the audience said āyep and no broken bonesā lmao
I read up
Very valid point. I now hate lb lol
Nah if this was the last one of the franchise Iām happy with the ending.
Like. A literal duel.
ā the old ways ā
So sick
And even if the end credit scene doesnāt lead into any spin offs or whatnot. Just is like what they say consequences have consequences.
So its what it is, and bound to happen.
Yenās character was very fun
It's probably a norm in the John Wick universe, also the assassins didn't pose a threat towards normal citizen
Yeah i always wonder what is the material for this thing
Not the end of the franchise
Just the end of this series
We got spin-offs coming
The Continental show, Ballerina
It has been done.
And the high amount of spin-offs that come out of this one
Because lord knows they left a lot of doors open
Ah yes. Not franchise, keep getting the two confused. As franchise means open to spin offs, etc.
I kinda want a shirt like that you know.
Would be down to get some spin off about Mr. Nobody
Mr Nobody, Akira, Caine, The Harbinger, Bowery King, Killa prequel
see you in the disowned children club
Left a lot of potential
||dad left me, so that has been a thing for a while lol||
Hehe Paris scene
Cars
Vroom
Oml we out here
Paris actually looks clean in the movie
Very impressive
FFFUUUCCCKK that final duel was shot beautifully
SO much shit going thru the viewers head and now we got hit by that perfect scenery
I think his inclusion felt very forced
But yk it is what it is
Fun noless
Can someone give me a lil bit of intel on why he shot the one in the desert, and was he the same one from 3? That was the only narrative Iām not so 100% on.
the duel scene is equivalent to this
I remember the dude he shot in the beginning I think but all else is blurry
I gotta rewatch 3
This is why I watched 3 last night lol
so
But like. Did he fuck him over?
Iām just not 100% on it. The scene went very quick
That's probably it. He fucked him over
then again I gotta rewatch 2
i mean
3
i mean
i gotta rewatch 2 too
He wasnāt the same from 3
He killed the Elder in number 3
And they took his finger with his ring
To signify his loss of freedom
He comes back at the start of this to get his ring back to find that thereās already a new Elder
Ohhh ight
Itās the whole theme of like āwhen does this endā
Because the roles get replaced
It keeps going
he lost the Elder Ring
Bro spoilers
for Elden Wick?
Currently telling dad that his opinion is wrong.
Welcome in @late needle
We have guns and bullets
Mans saw it on the 25th of Feb
One of the first few that saw it
Iām tired now
Happy to be here
Hey
Man I am so happy I saw this opening night
If I didn't I most likely would've had it spoiled for me
I dodged em
Someone wrote a spoiler on my JW3 review, but I dodged it as I got a message about it as soon as I woke up.
Yep
The only thing I knew before going in was the cast and that there was a paint it black needle drop
Bet the comment was about ||Johnās death|| canāt imagine anything else it would have been.
I also didn't know that it would be the last John Wick movie, which could've hinted his death
The needle drops were good
I thought they confirmed 4 and 5 at the same time, so I thought he was safe
Same
I didnāt think it was going to be the last due to the 5th was listen on lb. Lmao, Iāll never trust now
Yeah
lb bad webistei!!!!!
Itās a good send off
Him remembering his wife was beautiful
Fr
Nothings going to beat this series in terms of the spin offs and whatever else
Saying that. I think Keanu is going to be in Ballerina
But doubt itāll be much
Most consistent action franchise fr
This is the 2nd movie I've seen on opening night ever
What was the first
Captain America Civil War
Both bangers
Yes
Iāve seen a couple movies at midnight screenings, and a few more on the day they came out
It was pretty cool when I was Spider-Man come in and it said Queens on the screen because I was watching it in Queens
And I think Peter Parker lived in Forest Hills
My cinema was full
Cunts were laughing and taking photos with the flash on???
Fuck
I think all cinemas were packed
Annoying as shit
The disrespect
Yikes
When John Wick killed bill Skarsgard my cinema clapped lmao
SAME
And one guy in the back cheered really loudly
Everyone clapped
And everyone laughed
Mhm
Obama was there
People clapped at the dog piss moment
Lmao
People laughed at that in my theater
Donnie Yen saying motherfucker was brilliant
Yea
The arc de triomphe scene was fucking great
āDonāt forget your daughterā
āFUCK OFFā
Bro when he fell down all those stairs
Ian McShane is so fucking cool when heās just standing there
Right
Yep
Scott Adkins scene was awesome
Scott Adkins went all out
Bro the kicks
The fucking kicks on that man
Iām happy he actually got a memorable character moment
Yes
Lmao yes
Instead like in Doctor Strange he was just a goon lol
Bro had the kingpin build
š
I want an Akira spinoff
Best shit ever
Yes
I like the intercom lady stating thereās traffic in the area lmao
Cinema is back baby
When I saw the camera switch around Iām like āhold onā out loud
Like fuck off this is happening right now
I can already tell that his death is gonna be so heavily spoiled
Which is unfortunate
Like ||Iron Man's death|| type shit
A couple scenes from the movie
Reminded me of this
This is probably the best scene from the first movie
Majority of the audience were adults, my age up to around 40, one of the adults complained about these disruptive teens and a lady came up and said weāve heard youāre disturbing the audience and they back chatted. So she said you have to leave or weāll call the police. So they left :) gg, for the rest of the film it was quiet lol how it should be.
Hell yeah
Ma 15+ is yeah, ages 15 or older but my gosh have some respect for others that have paid to see a film.
Oh
I wish I could drop kick people without getting caught.
Damn
People in my theater were respectful for the most part
I've seen soooo many ppl talk abt their bad theater experiences
And it's kinda weird bc I've never had one
I havenāt had many. Some where the mum is on the phone and their kid is crying? Who lets a kid into a film called The Suicide Squad. Lol
Some fucking idiot brought their crying ass baby to the movie
This 3 hour long, loud movie
Luckily they shut the hell up after a couple initial wails
Or I would have actually confronted them
Irresponsible parenting
I hope theyāre having a miserable year
š
I hate irresponsible parenting. The amount of times Iām out at a restaurant with the family and if I a kid is being a nuisance I always say ācontrol your kidsā
I mean there is no need to bring a baby into a movie, especially John Wick
No heās actually playing the ballerina.
I could imagine that it would be terrible
I think I like this director guy
āActressā
Hope they stick with that
Severine it you
Extremely self aware
I myself would be too dumb to not think that
Iāve accidentally doxxed my identity too many times
Valid
(She means it literally)
Severine go watch movie
Are you seeing it with anyone
Not sure whatās ntc
Hope Rome is nice
You said NTC! Gave me the confusion
Thanks for the screens. Iām interested in the prequel show
Any casting listed for that, confirmed that is.
Huge but not Chad

!!!!
Why rate if not seen?
Absolutely typical. Hello! I work here, movie was so loud I couldnāt concentrate cleaning the shit out of the menās toilets. - .5/5
š lmao
People like this should be banned from using the Internet permanently
It do be loud tho. IMAX was banging
seats literally shake
Does anyone think that heās still alive
Cause bowery kings laugh at the end was a bit unsettling
No
Why
āJOHN WICK 4ā is making new records for the franchise, including:
- Highest CinemaScore rating
- Highest Rotten Tomatoes score
- Highest box office opening day
Read our review: https://t.co/cloSZjzsmZ
We won
Because the internet thrives on negativity smh. What a clown
i live in a small town, and when i see big movies on opening day, usually im one of maybe three people in the audience. but my theater was packed for john wick 4
Small towners seem like they would be fans of the John wick franchise
Gun fans and such
it was really nice to have an actual theater experience, with people cheering clapping and laughing throughout the whole movie
thats a good point haha
Thatās really cool tho
the only other time i saw a full theater here was for avatar 2
and that was a week after it came out
Avatar 2 Fr was packed everywhere
the fact that my theater, which for ant-man 3 was empty on opening night, was packed a week later shows how avatar 2 made so much money
crazy though that john wick 4 made as much in its first day as john wick 2 did in its entire first weekend
Yeah especially compared to the first movie which was mostly seen in bargain bins and shit
I wanna see it again
its honestly crazy to see how far the franchise has come
me too lol
For real
I still have my ticket
same
cool shot
Goes hard
towers of metal do
Cold ass pic š„¶
the cinematography in this movie was next level
Real
like that one shot (you know what shot im referring to) is genuinely one of my favorite shots in a movie ever
^
Which one
you know which one
there are too many good shots in jw4 to know which one you mean by 'the shot'
fr
overview of flame thrower?
Or the one by the steps at the end
Or the scenery of Paris in general?
the overhead shot
idk why but
"you think she can hear you?"
"no"
"then why bother?"
"maybe im wrong"
hits so hard
This movie has more depth and themes than most of the JW movies since the 1st
and it also had more action
it just took all the best parts of the previous movies and did them even better
Mhm
And ik this is a weird question but where do you guys think this ranks among 21st century action movies?
among big budget stuff at least it's the tippy top of the upper echelon
maybe not best but close
Just watched it an hour ago. and trying to decide if this is the best John Wick (probably because it steals the match transition from Lawrence of Arabia)
Think rn, my fav action sequences are still from Parabellum, but the action in here is amazing, too. Particularly like Caineās fights the most
I liked that one part when John Wick shoots a guy and he falls down to the ground and doesnāt get up. Probably my favourite moment
Lol
I loved the part when the dude got pinned to the wall by an arrow to the leg and gets headshot and just goes limp
my theater cheered when that happened lol
My theater cheered when the main henchman slowly looks at Mr. Nobodyās dog toward the end
Good doggo
Sad that I was unable to kiss John Wick before he died
^^^^
Yeah Babylon type beat
To think we might be seeing a John Wick Oscar is absolutely insane.
I like this
https://youtu.be/F_qc0iZEDpo imma watch this
After the IGN fan screening of John Wick: Chapter 4, Tom Jorgensen sat down with Keanu Reeves and Director Chad Stahelski to talk about the movie, the passing of Lance Reddick, Keanu Reeves's nunchaku training for the film, and some fan questions from the audience.
Check out our review of John Wick: Chapter 4 here: https://youtu.be/aXsyWV7jf98...
Right. He was an absolute menace
and also the falling scenes in that part
you could see that they were fake but that added to the charm
over the top cgi*
but it was sad to see lance reddick
They thought about making the duel scene since the beginning. Thatās dope
Cool interview. Canāt believe he confessed that heās a mass murderer. Didnāt expect that
Contains strong language and violence
Keanu Reeves, Rina Sawayama, Ian McShane and director Chad Stahelski join BBC Radio 1's film critic Ali Plumb to talk about new movie John Wick: Chapter 4. Keanu reveals which is his favourite dog from the series, and Rina explains how her music videos helped land her the role of Akira.
#JohnWick #Kea...
this movie has an incredible soundtrack
Yeah I gotta listen to it
The Osaka sequences were insane, especially the soundtrack
they were so fucking cool
Honestly, my fave sequences goes to the arc de triomph and the birds eye view fight scene in the building, with the fire bullets
Peak action imo
Iām now a fan of Paris
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WydRjcfQUhM she plays akira

Osaka Continental = Best Continental
Fairly sure this is Rinaās first acting debut too. Honestly, she did a pretty dang good job.
Not a whole lot of dialogue but her choreography went a mile
watch the above video from BBC
they have a segment about her
and with her
how she got the role and such
Wild stuff
Awesome. Will do
she defintly got her acting career jumpstarted
i liked the ending sequence after the post credits
Ah. Itās cause her music videos
Thatās very interesting
And it just caught Chadās eye
CONSEQUENCES
but i still feel we could have had more of Charon, even if his ||dead || caries the story in the movie
Good interview, thanks for sharing Mafen
np
Iām in the ballpark where I donāt really want anything to come out of the end credit scene
Consequences have consequences. Just what it is, and I enjoyed that theme throughout the series.
when i saw it, there was lots of pepole that just left before the post credits
Oh same. I was tempted to say thereās more, but couldnāt be assed lol
Likewise. When I see films at the cinema I stay till the end regardless, I like the atmosphere
before i had to venture out in to the cold
Mine was a dark and gloomy night lol
and since had i paid for better seats i had no problems
and a smaller room
closer to the action
but i did miss the cleaners
Dang cleaners
Glad the runtime felt near to nothing
Action so crazy story so interesting. Invested in it all
i meant the john wick cleaners with charlie
Oh haha
Coolest
The coolest!
yes

The building was designated a city landmark
and the board just blew it up
Any Easter eggs I should look for
š
not that i think NY would have had any say in that matter anyway
unless they wanted to get killed
it's bad enough that the NY Continental got audited in Parabellum, and now the high table just had to close it down (at least til the end)
it seemed worse at first
i was able to feel the sound
Not in imax?
i had a sub right behind me
Oh
and i was not in a imax
but it was in a lux cinema room
Oh
with reclincers
Mine has recliner
motorized ?
i would say i have only seen one motorized
fun fact the the continental is in real life named beaver building
Oh
so you could rent a room at the continental
here is one https://www.cityrealty.com/nyc/financial-district/cocoa-exchange-1-wall-street-court/33661

How much
1.2 mill
To buy?
yes
2 beds, 2 baths | 1,049 ft2
it is NY after all
you will get your own Charon
as in door man
it would have been fun to go to the continental irl and watch john wick
If I had 1.2 mil, I'd get a room. Or if I had one of those gold coins, that'd be the best case scenario (gotta save up those coins)
google said those coins are worh 2k each in gold
Tbh
oh yeah, I'll take 2k and rent a room over 1.2 mil
I think JW4 has some of the best cinematography and action sequences in any movie ever
Okay. Just bought it. Hope I see John there too
i liked the hot line miami esc filiming
Keanu Reeves did 90% of his own stunts for āJOHN WICK 4ā.

what a guy
Absolutely, he's a legit action star
Yeah. On one of the interviews I saw you could tell
But the behind the scenes footage
some of the scenes especially the ones where he falls down on the load bearing beam in the disco looks very goofy
No thatās all real.
if you say so
I saw it with my own eyes
Heās fighting in hell
dont you mean you are ?
I forgot thatās my name
Yes me
Iām currently having a break at the cafe down here
i guess dying does that
making you stop membering things
once again, chad, i am asking you to release the 225 minute cut
thanks

@valid hawk dude next to me picking nails loud asf
rip
there was one doing something similar when i watched it
but only for a short while
10-15 secs
he also had a wine bottle
Something I love about the Wick films is that there's kind of a strange heartwarming feeling to it
For an action franchise of all things
John Wick is a man of few words and yet is nonetheless a polite man for an Assassin
ok but in my theater, people laughed every time john wick said "yeah"
because keanu's delivery is just so good
like
it was a good laugh
because its so iconic
he only has like a dozen lines
and half of them are just "yeah"
John Wick is a very Nic Cage character
for all the shit keanu gets for delivering all his lines in william-shatner-esque overly-enunciated grunts, he really does bring a lot of heart to this series
like keanu is really good at giving john a lot of interiority without it having to be explicitly said in dialogue, and gets across the sense that john is a fundamentally good dude who just constantly makes horrible decisions perfectly
it also helps that the scripts show us this by having basically everyone who's ever had a non-violent interaction with john think he's great. like caine actively being like "oh god damn it" when he's tasked with killing john, and trying to back out, because john's his boy. and winston constantly putting his ass on the line for john even though he's otherwise 100% self-serving. and the interactions he has with charon through the series.
hell, even the bowery king, who goes to bat for john almost 100% on the basis of "i really like this guy"
if the series has any one core message, it's the power of not being an asshole
john is able to get incredibly powerful people to go to bat for him and help him move fuckin' mountains because they all really like him. people like the villain in 2 and the marquis in 4 fall flat on their asses in absolutely comical ways, meanwhile, because they abuse everyone around them and nobody actually cares about them enough to be loyal; the only power they have at all is systemic and inherent to a title
Was so shocked on how good this movie was
That fight in the middle of the huge roundabout was so cool
I wonder how they managed to pull that off
no i literally love his delivery
he has made john wick such a unique and recognizable character
halfway through that scene i literally had to tell myself "im not even gonna try and figure out how they did this"
Agreed, I was so invested in the movie it was insane
NO SAME
cannot wait for the bts
They have serious talent
The entire movie I was saying "this cannot get better" and it somehow found so many ways to just blow my mind
i'm honestly really torn on it because, like, i love it but i can't really deny it's kinda hilarious
Insanely well done, I especially loved the sets they used too
oh like i said, every single "yeah" got a laugh out of the audience. but thats part of what i like about it
That's funny my theater never laughed when he says "yeah" but we all wheezed when he fell down the stairs
he enunciates. every. single. word. really. heavily. like. the. script. was. written. like. this
and it sounds really cool in the context of the movie
but god it's really really funny
and i feel like he kinda didn't do that in the first two, at least?
like i'm not really entirely sure where that acting choice came from now that i'm actively thinking about it, because i know for a fact his deliveries are a little more nuanced and less... shatner-y in the first and second ones
it's not at all a bad call but i'm curious to know if that was a deliberate call
really my only beef that's an actual beef and not super nitpicky/"i actually liked this in context but it's goofy if i think about it" is
they cast scott adkins as a heavy who gets a big fight with keanu, and then put him in a fucking fat suit that disallows him from boyka kicking keanu
just... just let scott adkins be scott adkins! he is extremely good at being scott adkins!
it's like casting JCVD in his pre-old-guy days and having him not do the splits basically
i liked killa well enough as-is, but if they were married to the "fat beeftank" concept they should have picked someone other than scott adkins, and if they were married to having scott adkins play him they should have just let him be a buff dude who spin-kicks people
imagine if they had cast donnie yen and not had him do crazy lightning-fast wushu shit, that's basically how this feels to me, a scott adkins fan
on a 100% great note: ian mcshane is a fucking treasure
winston was so good in this
just an absolutely pitch-perfect benevolent scheming asshole
Costume department did a great job in this movie.. Those Bill Skarsguard suits were great
mf looked like a jojo character and it was so great
Another great one
bro drippin so much they call him the sink
Marquis
Costume Design goes hard
In this film
I would love for this film get an Oscar nom in Costume Design but alas
I wish it would happen
He actually looked so good in this. Also the accent worked well
Totally agree
same
lots of nice costumes
opening scene was so cold
with Fishburne screaming
For real
DAMN!!!! šÆ š„
fingers crossed for make up, costume, production design, or cinematography nom. Come on, it's sooo good
anyway https://youtu.be/1LnCKL35aIQ

since they gave noms to Top Gun, this could def get some, there's so much kino oozing. I love it
Also, having Donnie Yen, Hiroyuki Sanada and Scott Adkins as support are great choice, these are veterans who know how to do action
I feel like they'll ignore this because it ain't a drama
Being honest. If it does get nominated, it wonāt be for anything about acting. Itāll be about the technical side to it.
They typically have a bias to films with consistent drama elements in them me thinks
For example. With the third film, where he was riding the horse through the city chased by bikes. That was all done in some paddock. Even though it looked like a city.
This was a good movie but it was mostly fighting that dragged on a bit too long
Meller, control your fan!
LOL
no it was good for real im not saying its bad but there was certain scenes that for real made me start falling asleep because of how long they dragged on
and those were the scenes that were full of adrenaline and action and gunfights
sorry to disappoint i might just have bad taste <3
ILY
i love you even more king!!
k
(i gave it a 5/5)
Fair enough
I'm still excited for the 5th one
They kinda feel like that for me sometimes mainly because I'm not that big of a action film guy
exactly
they were cool but then again if it was leveled out story and action it would've been a lot better
i dont like action movies much either but the half hour action sequence slapped
thats where i had to pull my eyes open to stay awake
My favorite parts of a action film like avatar 2 were literally the non action parts instead of all action parts like it's last third
i didnt pay full attention during the fight things i cant lie
i watched with my partner
we were making out during the gunfights š±
š
i am klaus is a fantastic scene
and the guy who did is a famous bouncer from a Berlin club
Are you a big John Wick fan?
I liked the previous ones a lot so I would say so
Interesting
Fun fact, the cumulative martial arts experience from the cast here is 100+ years
Hiroyuki Sanada and Donnie Yen both have 40 years, Adkins has 20
Keanu doesn't always do action but he can easily packs years of training under his belt
Actually he got 10 years as John Wick plus Matrix...
As action fan, you can't possible not like this

soooooooooooooooo true
that overheard Brain De Palma from Snake Eyes esque tracking shot and the whole stair sequence, holy fuck
well, that was orgasmic
ikr
We stay winning
Very impressive
The budget was 100m
I think it may cross 400 million dollars because of great reviews and huge rewatchability factor
Hope so

Kino, movie of the year, best action movie of the 21st century
||Loved Donnie yen in the kitchen with the doorbell sensors, the needle drop for genesis by justice during the stair fight, the hotline Miami scene, the final duel, the collective gasp in the theater when John wick still had his bullet in the chamber, the collective laughter when John wick kept falling down the stairs, the entire hotel sequence, the build up to the the fight in the club scene, the fight with everybody getting hit by cars, it was all perfect||
Waiting for Akira spin-off
would definitely watch
Iāll happily write it for them if they need the hands
I rarely get teary eyed while watching action movies
||John's last words being Helen and it's just a memory of him and her together||

Goddamn it Keanu stop making me cry for you in your movies but you make me
Even as a Assassin
Huh that's interesting and I think there may be two possibilities.. ||first it's a flashback of sorts and second John Wick faked his death and basically retires and then returns back to help Ana de armas character ||
Well Ballerina takes place in between 3 and 4 so that's why
Ah, that makes sense
ye I believe it's been in production a while already iirc
We love to see it BABY!!! KEEP IT UP!!!!
I have a pretty strong feeling if we get a JW5 it's not gonna have Keanu or Stahelski.
JW4 seemed like it pretty much explored every bit of conceptual ground the franchise offers related to that character, and both are pretty openly done with it, at least for A While.
i rly hope there isnt a JW5; 4 is already a great ending, trying to continue with his story wouldn't make sense
yeah the only thing I could see maybe working is having it turn out he faked his death, and having that come up in the context of Akira coming for Caine
but otherwise we're in spinoff town and that's all we're gonna get, most likely
Mine was farting
Producer Erica Lee says she would love to potentially see Rina Sawayamaās Akira have her own āJohn Wickā spin-off project.

Everyone here seen it?
What do you think
Why didn't you enjoy it?
My thoughts on the film....That was insane. They're fighting on the roads in Paris was insane. And then that church shout-out scene was fucking incredible, especially that birds eye shot with the shotgun
I think of course if you want story it's not for you. If you want amazing action deffo watch in cinema
I disliked the first 3 films solely because I watched them alone on my laptop
This film is not designed to be watched alone. It's designed to be watched with someone in a packed cinema on the big screen
I also feel like the fourth one had the best gun and close combat
And also it was genuinely funny. Me and my friend couldn't stop laughing
And also loved the rolling stones sample
the needle drops were very fun
watching it at the movies was a pleasurable experience
also dragon breath
It was just ok
Okay
ur so cool for that
the cam rip is fairly decent btw
Like, i have seen far worse for cam rips right off the back
I wouldn't watch a cam rip ever
unless it's for rewatching a ending or smth
lmao it's real
I only watch cam rip if I'm sure I'm not gonna rewatch it in theaters
and I need that fix
Speaking of
youtube recommended is wilding
yeah i watched john wick 4 in a full theater with a lively audience and that definitely elevated the experience for me
Lmao. I loved Bill in this
fr
I love the touch that Donnie Yen can use flashbangs wherever cause they don't affect him
this fucks
Donnie was one of the bests
so glad there was a lot of character in this
Yeah it feels like such a huge movie due to the amount of great characters
wont lie
didn't realise it was Donnie till he put off the shades
Sexy credits song
he knew he'd cheat
unless you mean the cards in his hand
which in that case he could just feel the print
there are plenty of blind card players and magicians irl
he slept with John on the prior night, then when wick was snoring. Caine went into his bedside table and saw the cards
u crazy
bro it was on the behind the scenes cmon
I ain't seen the sex cut yet
that was my thought
the extra hour they cut out was just a single extended sex scene
lol nice censor
I realised what i did lol
im stealing that
also john didn't have a kid because he had a wife
why have both
huge reference
probably assexual
I should rewatch matrix
Marko Zaror right?
I mean I didn't realize that's who you were talking about
I've only seen JW4 and Alita from him
he wants his steak and he wants it now
I hope we see more from him
He's in Undisputed 3 with Scott Adkins
good moie
I've not seen it looks super good
the undisputed series is great
he can have mine
i want his
I just realized at the end of 3 Winston is bargaining with Johnson Wick and asks āwho do you wish to die as? The Baba Yaga? Or as a man who loved and was loved by his wife?ā and then the end of John wick 4 happens
character development
JOHNSON WICK ššššš
ok but what i love about the ending of john wick 4
is that in basically every way, john wick won
like yeah he died
but he died a free man
and thats all he wanted
and he was able to help caine and his daughter and winston along the way
He always wanted to die as a loving husband.
But with the ending, he also helped the family of his dear friend.
True but it fr shows how all that legacy and hitman shit doesn't matter at the end of the day when you're actually facing death
that's what I enjoy most about the series, are the themes that play throughout
Which is kinda what all of JW4 is about. It's about facing death and the consequences of your actions
Families taking the brunt of the damage that others cause and the cyclical nature of violence
the whole thing of consequences have consequences is beautiful to it, sad but to a T of what their life is.
fr
"CONSEQUENCES" was the best line in the whole series
hugely
"consequences" literally sums up the entire franchise
that is why I am kinda wanting nothing to come out of the end credit scene, as its just a play on with the theme than branching it out instead.
it is all about actions, even seemingly small ones, having consequences
true
i mean the first movie is just about a guy killing a dog and facing the consequences
every movie is about dealing with the consequences of your actions
and when john wick is involved, actions always have consequences
We don't need more of the story, as Akira was eventually going to go after Caine at some point. But just showing that in the end was beautifully put, even if people were disappointed and was thinking ||John faked his death or whatever||
im glad the end credit scene wasnt like a fakeout reveal
||i think choosing to end the john wick movies now when the series is the biggest its ever been was a bold choice but a good one. its far better than milking it until its just another fast and the furious franchise where they push out a mediocre entry every few years for two decades||
Hiroyuki Sanada really said it best "have you given any thought to where this ends? The table will never stop, you know this. It only takes life and only gives death." Which really plays into an interpretation I had before 4 came out that the high table is the representation of revenge and unresolved grief. It fr be about the cyclical nature of violence. Better than The Shining too
Milking it would have been dumb, for many reasons. The action is competing itself by each film but also the guy is getting older by the year. He does practically most of the stunts. Couldn't keep going for it. I also think the ending as in with the High Table, etc. Is finished - John's legacy is over.
the shining good tho
pls
obviously the only way this franchise ever could have ended was with ||john dying||
stair scene could have killed any man
ok i forget if it was 2 or 3, but one of those had a scene where john and a bad guy rolled down like one or two flights of stairs
2
which scene
and that was me and my dad's favorite moment from the whole series
so seeing an even bigger version of that in 4 made me so happy
Him and Common fell down the stairs a lot and then they kept falling on stairs that were originally out of view to reveal they kept going
funny moment
oh yeah
isnt John Wick 5 greenlit already
Common was so cool in that
No
im sure theyre making another movie in the franchise, it just wont be "john wick 5"
caine and the tracker could easily carry their own movies, which shows how strong of characters they are and how great their actors are
the only acceptable spin off is a mob movie in the style of Battles Without Honor and Humanity of Hiroyuki Sanada killing people to earn his hotel
Caine would literally be like Daredevil lol
cane
ok but its crazy for the fourth movie in a franchise to be the best
and for all four to be top tier
||so john is dead dead||
hopefully
zombie wick
im cryin
yes
the ego on this dude
idk what that is
am listening to the soundtrack
self proclaimed loving husband
the soundtrack is so fucking good
french version of paint it black
start of Jw5
if you wanna see him fight scott adkins (killa), watch savage dog
...and also undisputed 3, actually
yes please
marko zaror and scott adkins have actually been in the same movie a surprising number of times
savage dog is fucking batshit bananas and i strongly recommend it
i genuinely cannot think of another action movie other than savage dog where the hero literally fucking eats a dude
(that's not hyperbole and i am being 100% literal, scott adkins commits cannibalism in savage dog)
he just like me fr
...on a related note, i just realized that out of the three movies i've seen marko zaror play a villain in, he gets completely hilariously disrespected in two of them
dog piss in JW4 and ||scott adkins cuts his fucking liver out and eats it|| in Savage Dog
Hereās the song that plays during the fight scene on the stairs, one of my favorite songs ever too
according to this goofy ah cam rip that I'm watching the osaka fight literally doesn't start until 26 minutes in wtf
it feels like 10 or something
:(
I have zero clue
it could have just been called helen

randomly has the end credit scene violin song
yeah cool
good soundtrack overall
but now I have to listen to the needle drops, as the bastards don't include em in osts
who the fuck is mia
maybe caine's daughter
it is
interesting
we saw her like twice
we saw her?
yeah
i don't even remember that
when we first saw Caine
she was doing the violin near him
lemme pull up the cam rip
?af u
true why would it not have the credits wtf
That moment when Winston doesn't take John Wick home before he dies. So he could have been saved. Feelsbadman
fake friend
this is the critical breakdown I was looking for
Weirdly enough. This is one of the better cam rips I have seen. Like, apart from the subs and watermark everything is playing with decent quality
Like I could def watch this and be fine with it
OH NO
My camrip was deleted from youtube why did I refresh
yeah that's pretty sick
