#Need some help finding a movie title

The movie I guess would fall under a 'foreign' language movie category. It is a European movie that was probably made in the 80s or 90s. For some reason I remember there being musical numbers in it. The details I can give are as follows:

  1. The movie centers around a young girl in a small village and is about her growing up or something about youth? Her uncle is some sort of priest/vampire/undead person? One of the village boys has a crush on her (he falls into a river or off a small waterfall?)

  2. The title is something like (girl's name) and her fantastic dream/adventure?

  3. This movie I believe had a controversy around it due to the age of one of the actors?

  4. The ending is something like the main character being carried on a bed to a picnic bench in a field with all the characters from the village, (also her aunt/cousin/mom? dies and somehow comes back to life?)

All suggestions welcome, I'm looking for this film to recommend to a friend who is a movie buff but I'm finding it next to impossible to find it on google with the information I have on hand.
