What you see is a solution to an exercise to differentiate y = (x^2 - 1)^2 * (x+5)^3
I got the answer right, but I didn't simplify like in the picture. I find it quite weird how the + is disappearing, by moving 4x(x+5) on the other side. I tried AI to explain it to me, but I still don't get it. If somebody can it explain it in simpler terms, I would welcome it.

@bleak hazel it appears they factored by grouping here. Both terms contain (x+5)² and (x²-1) which is why they factored it out
