help i got a test tmrw,logarithms question
you know the normal ln(x) graph right?
log9(x) is similar to that
now we take x+a=t
and we can draw the graph of log9(t) [same as log9(x)] but with Y and T axis
since we want graph in Y and X axis
we convert t back into x
x=t-a
so the whole graph shifts towards the left by 'a' units.
so graph is done,
you can find the rest by just looking at the graph or putting x=0 for y intercept and y=0 for x intercept
for asymptotes: note in ln(x) graph , the asymptote is x=0 line
so now that our log9(x+a) graph has shifted to left by 'a' units,
you can think what the asymptote will be to this graph.
