Im learning for exams by making tasks from my maths book. I already have all the answers, but I'm just checking if I made any mistakes.

Now, I don't understand why there's 2(y-4) on the right side of the equation. I understand why it's on the left side though.

Note: geeft means gives

I thought it'd just be x(y-4) = 2-3

because on the right side there is a sum. multiplying a sum means multiplying every summand:

a(b+c)=ab+ac

(y-4)×(2-3/(y-4)) = 2(y-4)-3

If I understand it right. If I have this:

x=a+(b/c)

And I want to get rid of the fraction, so I multiply everything by c, id get.
cx = ca+b ?
