Another way to solve this-->
(5x+8/4-x)-2<0 (bring 2 to LHS and change sign)
5x+8-8+2x/4-x<0
After solving we get-->
7x/x-4>0
By solving this on a real number line we get-->
x∈]-infinity,0[ union ]4,infinity[
Acc to the solution in book the latter is correct answer but why? Why didn't the former method work? We don't get the value of x satisfying the inequality for the denominator that's why?
