The question appears in one of the exercises of the book, Discrete Mathematics and its applications by Kenneth H. Rosen.
My doubt is that, how to show they both are logically quivalent using the two methods:-
1.)the direct proof method.
2.)using set theory considering x,y to be in a certain domain of discourse.
