Im stuck here and i feel like i have to make that (x-y) become a (x+y) but dont know how ^^

i alreay found the answer by using another equation but this one is the first one i used and i want to know how i could have done this with this equation 👍

In the first row you have (x+y)⁴-4x³y-9x²y²-4xy³ which is correct. But when you factor out the -2xy you forgot to change the sign. You have 4⁴-2xy(2x²-3xy-2y²), but it should be 4⁴-2xy(2x²+3xy+2y²). From here can get your x²+y² and move on from there.
