Bcoz the value of x you get is outside the domain of x defined for that equation

#

For example, for (-infinity,-2) the corresponding equation is x-2=5, which solves to x=7 which is not possible as this equation is defined for (-infinity, -2)

And x=7 does not fit in the domain
