You mean, you have 1/8 of something and want share for 3 people ?
each person would get one third of the remaining one eighth
so how do you think you might mathematically represent that?
"Of" means multiplication. Thus, if you want "one third of a slice", you want "(1/3)*(one slice)". If you want "one third of 1/8", then you want "(1/3)*(1/8)". Do you know how to multiply fractions?
