i mean its form of y = I -2x I

they mean that 'its as jagged as an absolute value function so presumably it continues to infinity'

y = |-2x| is not how you get a function like that
what works is f(x) = |x - 2| + |x + 2| + x

#

you can assume that its following a zigzag which would be:

#

,,f(x)=-\frac4\pi\arcsin\qty(\sin\qty(\frac\pi4x))

most likely youre not supposed to be paying attention to the ends of the function, so whether it continues on to ∞ or not is irrelevant
