I am studying the directional derivatives and I have only one doubt about the graph, it is assumed that summarizing the directional derivatives are derivatives in the direction of a vector that I choose (usually a vector), ie the slope will be tangent to the curve, my doubt is in the part where the components HA, HB of the vector that goes from P prime Q prime, assuming a distance H I do not understand why is HA, HB the components when that would give me another module.
