This formula gives 16 as the answer but if we assume 8 = n (n+1).

Then it gives 8 as the answer.

Because if there is plus sign n+1 is the answer. And when minus it's n

i dont think you will even remember the formula further on when you solve these type of questions

so its better to understand the concept which i said
